After Jersey joined us, we headed to the metro.

We took a seat on the subway.

"So Jersey,  you really came, huh? I thought Val was capping."

"Why are y'all so surprised I'm here with you? What's the issue?" He asked confused.

"No problem, it's just unexpected you're down. Usually, you're not big on communication, so I figured you wouldn't be into it. Especially with us hitting the shops – figured you weren't into the girly stuff, you know?"

He shook his head, smirking.
"Okay, I sorta see where you're coming from. I'm usually laid-back, not like a shy kid, ya know? Just relaxed, but I can vibe."

"Mmhm oke, oke I see." I nodded, he cool.

"We're halfway there," Val remarked.
Jersey, sporting his signature Apple earbuds as usual, glanced over.
"Yo, Jersey, let me peep your playlist," she said, reaching for his hand where he held his phone.

When she reached for Jersey's hand, he quickly pulled it back and playfully refused a "no" with a Papiamento accent, which cracked me up. He ended up looking a bit silly (gay), almost like the guy in this picture I'm about to show you.

( This vorm, but just imagine him shoving his hand away from Val like that, and the iconic nOoo~ ofc)

After a bit of struggle and playful wrestling, Val managed to snatch Jersey's phone.
"Damn, Jersey, you're so damn emo!" I grimaced in disgust. "Seriously, this dude's playlist is a nightmare." We scrolled through his phone.
"Eww, not Bad Bunny, please. Jersey, your taste is seriously gross," Val remarked, clearly not a fan of Bad Bunny.

Val shoved his phone back with a force.
"Oh my God, I can't stand his voice. How do you listen to that garbage playlist non-stop?"

Jersey reclaimed his phone.
"You two will get it when you're older."
He always made us feel like kids, mocking us because he was a bit older, clearly enjoying it every time.

"Ugh, shut up, man. You act like you're my dad," I retorted.
"You know what? Since you enjoy playing the older card, I'm gonna start calling you grandpa," Val teased, letting out a giggle. "How about that, Grandpa?"

He shrugged, then smirked.
"I mean, if that's what you're gonna call me, then you gotta show some respect too, right? I'm so much older now," he warned, pointing at us with a smirk, as if laying down the law.

I slapped his pointing finger away.
"Yeah, keep dreaming," I scoffed.

"Hey, hey! Watch it, alright?" He raised his voice teasingly, adding a hint of playfulness.

Val and I locked eyes, bursting into laughter together.

He joined in our laughter, unable to resist the infectious energy.

We arrived and stepped out of the subway, strolling around the city center for a bit to take in the sights and get some fresh air first.

We stopped by Starbucks and grabbed some drinks before continuing our walk. After finishing our drinks, we decided to check out a sports clothing shop. Val needed a new pair of leggings for PE, while I was just browsing, keeping an eye out for anything good and useful to buy.

"Man, I need this volleyball arm protection!" I exclaimed excitedly.

"You play volleyball?" Jersey asked.

"Not yet, but I'm starting in the winter," I replied.

"Oh damn, Jersey, check out this baseball bat!" I exclaimed, heading over and grabbing it.

"Whoa, it's kinda heavy," I remarked. "I've always wanted to try this. It seems so cool. Quick, come on, let's throw the ball before someone sees us!"

"What are you doing? You're crazy! They'll kick us out, for sure. Damn it," Val whispered harshly.

Jersey grabbed the ball, getting ready to throw it.

"Hey, wait! Throw it gently, with a curve!" I exclaimed.

"Alright, get ready," Jersey announced, then threw the ball.

...and missed.

Val collapsed to her knees, laughing hysterically. "Man, you suck," she managed between laughs.

Jersey joined in the laughter. "Seriously, what was that?"

Feeling embarrassed, I protested, "No, wait, one more time! I was just getting warmed up, you know, with the swing and everything," I said, jumping up and down like a kid who lost his game.
Val wiped tears of laughter from her eyes and watched me again.

This time, instead of swinging the bat, I just made contact with the ball. It was more than enough. I smiled innocently at them.

"Seriously," Val shook her head, smiling.

Val took a while to find what she wanted since she was picky, so Jersey and I got bored and headed to the boxing section. After letting out some steam on the punching bags, I moved on to the cycling area and hopped on a small, pink bike (luckily, it didn't break, or else I'd have to pay for it). Then, I tried a larger one, almost hurting my hip in the process. After that, I explored the ball section, playing with some footballs and basketballs. It got boring, so I searched for Jersey and dragged him to dribble some basketball with me. I got a bit too loud, and a worker came over, telling me to quiet down. Annoyed, I moved through different sections until I eventually collapsed from exhaustion. I found Jersey sitting on a bench in front of the fitting rooms, and I joined him, finally taking a break.

"She still in there?" I said irritated.

"Yep" is al he said.

"Val you done?!" I stood up, walking to the fitting room.

"Coming!"
