Chapter 12 ~ Late Night Talking

     I walked through the door with a fat smile. I knew I needed to tell my mom about what happened because I knew she was going to freak out. I took my shoes off and heard talking in my living room. I decided to go upstairs real quick to get changed. I went into my room and forgot that I was still wearing Leo's hoodie. I smiled a bit and then took it off. I looked over at my vanity and I didn't notice until now but my mom put the flowers that Leo got me in my room. I grinned a bit. I stripped down and threw all my clothes into a laundry basket except for Leo's hoodie. I put on some black Lululemon-aligned shorts and Leo's hoodie back on. I went into my bathroom and brushed my hair which was a pain to brush. After about 15 minutes of brushing my hair and probably half of the bottle of detangling spray I got my hair detangled.

I ran down the stairs and started to walk to the living room. I heard 2 voices coming from the room. One I recognized which was my mom and the other sounded like a man's voice. I walked in and saw my mom on our couch talking to a blonde-haired guy. The guy had his arm around my mom. He looked tall and was VERY muscular. He was wearing a white somewhat see-through shirt which you could see all of his muscles. He was wearing black pants. He had an expensive-looking watch on and had a drink in his hand. He looked like he was trying to impress my mom. My mom looked pretty and was wearing a black dress which she definitely wore it to impress the guy. It made her boobs look good and was skintight on her. She had her hair blown out and was wearing more makeup than usual. She also had a drink in her hand.

"Emma!" My mom said, "How was your time with Leo? Did you meet some new friends?"

"It was fun," I said forgetting about what I was going to tell her, "Who's this?" I said in confusion

"Oh, this is Richard! We've been going out a lot since we moved here. I didn't want to tell you about him because I didn't know if this was going to be an actual relationship or not. But we're dating now." She smiled up at him

I didn't know how to react to this. My mom has had boyfriends in the past but I couldn't tell you the last time she's had one. She has been so busy with her career the past couple of years and I guess she didn't have a real boyfriend. I knew that she'd been wanting to find a boyfriend for a while and to get married. I was a bit shocked to be honest that she found herself a boyfriend already and I was even more shocked that she didn't tell me. She usually told me about her boyfriends but she didn't this time. I knew that Richard was going to be a different boyfriend. I didn't have a problem with him but it was just wired.

"Hi, Emma! I've heard a lot about you. It's finally nice to meet you," Richard said

"Hi," I said back

"Aren't you hanging around with Leonardo DiCaprio?" He asked

"Ah yeah," I smiled a bit when I heard him say Leo

"Was Leo's friends nice?" My mom asked

"Yeah! Leo said they all liked me."

"Well that's nice," my mom smiled, "What did you guys do?"

"We talked," I smirked

My mom gave me a look, "Emma I'm not stupid I think you guys did more than just talk and why is your hair all wet?"

"I fell into their pool," I said quietly
