Breakfast in Bed (Dahyun) TWICE 10th member

For as long as you had known the girls, since your trainee days, everyone knew there was nothing you hated more than mornings. You despised being forced awake by a shrill alarm, usually before the sun rose. But you had chosen to become an idol, after all, and being an idol involved its fair share of early mornings.

Like today.

Today was a particularly early start because you all had a day of promotions ahead of you since you had just released your newest comeback. And while everyone in the dorm was awake and getting ready for the day, you were still sound asleep, alone in the room you shared with some of the girls.

Until, that is, your girlfriend decided to wake you up.

Dahyun knew you better than you knew yourself so she knew that if you were going to be woken up this early, she would have to be gentle about it to avoid putting you in a grumpy mood for the rest of the morning. So she had thought ahead and decided to make breakfast in bed for you both to share to ease you into the day.

Holding the breakfast tray in one hand, she quietly opened your door to let herself in. A small amount of light from the rising sun broke through the gaps in the curtains and her heart melted as she saw you were snuggled up with a plushie she had bought you as a birthday present, long before you started dating.

In fact, your relationship was very recent as it was only a month ago that the two of you finally confessed your feelings for each other. You had both decided not to tell the girls just yet to give yourselves time to adjust to this new relationship between you too.

With your hair splayed across the pillow and your mouth slightly parted, Dahyun couldn't help but notice how serene you looked right now. She almost felt bad about waking you up but she knew that if you weren't dressed and ready for your call time, Jihyo might just explode. Thankfully though, you all would be seeing stylists and going through hair and makeup once you got to the venue so she knew that as long as you threw on sweatpants and a t-shirt, like she did, you would avoid your leader's wrath for today.

Dahyun approached your bed and put the tray on your bedside table so she could wake you up. Ever so gently, your girlfriend began to run her hand up and down your exposed arm and watched as you stirred awake. Your eyelashes fluttered and you let out a small groan over being woken up by this unknown person, and turned onto your other side so you could go back to sleep.

Dahyun had figured you wouldn't easily wake up so this didn't deter her in the slightest.

"Y/N," she said in a calm, quiet voice. "It's time to wake up."

Now knowing it was your girlfriend who was waking you up, you let out a small sigh but didn't move.

"No it isn't," you huffed. "Let me go back to sleep, please."

Dahyun couldn't help but chuckle. Yes, you were clearly a bit grumpy, but damn, she thought you were adorable. She leaned towards you and, with your back still facing her, she began to press feather-like kisses all over your head.

"Baby, we're being picked up in twenty minutes," Dahyun murmured against your head between kisses. "Everyone else is up and I have a surprise for you."

Her sweet kisses, along with the promise of a surprise, piqued your interest enough for you to open your eyes and roll over to face her. Dahyun gave a victorious smirk before leaning in to peck your lips.

"Good morning, beautiful," you mumbled to her, your voice deep and slurred from tiredness.

"Good morning to you too, baby," your girlfriend replied as she picked up the tray which was resting on your bedside table. "Now sit up, I made breakfast for us both to enjoy."

As you glanced at the tray she was holding, a smile lit up your entire face as you noticed the foods she prepared. It was a bowl of fruit salad and some pastries but they weren't just any pastries, you knew better than that.

"How did you get pastries from our favourite bakery?" You asked, moving across on your bed to make room for Dahyun. She sat down next to you and rested the tray on both of your laps and your sides were pressed together under the blanket.

"Don't tell anyone but I snuck out before anyone else woke up to buy them," she said pressing her index finger to your mouth. "Now tuck in!"

You did exactly as she said and both of you ate in a comfortable silence, occasionally feeding each other bits of your pastries.

You were almost finished breakfast when Jeongyeon let herself in to grab some things from her dresser. When she saw the two of you tucked up in bed sharing breakfast together, she hid a smile as she saw an opportunity to tease you both. Although she had no idea that you were dating, she was certain that the chemistry you had with Dahyun would make you both perfect for one another.

"Hey, you went to the bakery?" Jeongyeon asked Dahyun casually.

Dahyun, who had her mouth full, just nodded in response.

Jeongyeon smirked and purposefully raised her voice loud enough so that she could be overheard.

"So you went to the bakery and only got stuff for Y/N?" She said loudly.

This caught the attention of Jihyo and Sana who were close to your bedroom and they hurried into your room to see what was happening.

Dahyun was slightly flustered by Jeongyeon's teasing, knowing where this could be headed and grabbed your plushie to cover her face.

"Why didn't you get us anything, hmm, Dahyun?" Sana asked, raising an eyebrow. "I would've loved to eat a pastry instead of stealing Nayeon's yoghurt."

"I HEARD THAT, THIEF," Nayeon shouted from somewhere else in the house.

"It's because I'm special, duh," you said, sticking your tongue out at the other members who were laughing like hyenas.

"Yeah, special in Dahyun's heart" Jeongyeon whispered loudly enough for everyone to hear it. "And look at Dahyun, all cosy in bed with Y/N. You look just like a couple."

"Dahyun, will you buy me breakfast tomorrow?" Sana asked. "Or will you say no because I'm not Y/N?"

You and Dahyun could only burst into laughter which bewildered the girls. Not knowing that you two were an item and have been for a month, they thought you both would be embarrassed by their teasing. They had all suspected for a long time that you and Dahyun had crushes on each other but because you are both naturally quite introverted, they never would have considered that either of you would have already confessed your feelings. So they could only be confused by your laughter.

"Okay, let's leave them alone," Jihyo finally spoke, glancing at her phone. "As long as they're ready for the car which is arriving in four minutes, that is."

With that, you jumped out of bed and grabbed the first clothes you found in your wardrobe, before dashing towards the bathroom so you could brush your teeth and change.

"The smaller bathroom is mine," you shouted as you sprinted down the hallway so you could be ready in time and avoid making your leader angry. Dahyun watched you go with a soft smile as she picked up the tray and the leftovers to return them to the kitchen.
