Morning (Chaeyoung)

Nothing would ever be more disorientating than the feeling of waking up in a room that wasn't your own. So, as you opened your eyes to see an unfamiliar wall and a bedside locker that definitely wasn't yours, it took a few confusing seconds for you to try and figure out where you were.

Until you heard a soft sigh behind you as something or someone tugged you closer with a tight grip. And then it clicked.

Chaeyoung.

Your relationship was quite fresh and last night was the first time you spent the night at hers. You felt like a teenager again, full of excitement, for the entire evening as you anticipated sharing a bed with her for the very first time.

The idea of waking up with your girlfriend next to you was enough to make your heart flutter.

Yet there you were now, wrapped in Chaeyoung's arms.

You could feel her breath tickling the back of your neck as she slept soundly with an arm around your waist. Curled up together, you were perfectly intertwined as if you both made to be together. You gave a goofy grin as you realized this.

This moment was perfect and you wanted to soak it all up. You buried your face deeper into your pillow, feeling extra snug as you focused on the feeling of the steady rise and fall of Chaeyoung's chest against your back. However, as your body shifted about in the bed, your girlfriend stirred and her breathing changed as she began to wake up.

Upon waking up, the first thing she did, completely reflexively was to move her hand from your waist to rub her eyes. As she adjusted herself to the soft light filling the room, you turned so you could face her.

"Morning," you whispered, giving her exposed shoulder a quick kiss.

"Morning, baby," Chaeyoung replied in a raspy voice, reaching under the blanket to run her fingertips up and down your side.

"Sleep well?" You asked with a small smile.

"I got the best night's sleep of my life," Chaeyoung said, yawning slightly. "And the best morning of my life too because your voice was the first sound I heard."

You nuzzled into her chest to hide your blush and your girlfriend chuckled as she cradled your head.

"You're cheesy," you mumbled against her skin but Chaeyoung chose not to respond verbally, instead, giving the crown of your head a kiss.

You stayed in this position for a few minutes, the only interruption being when you changed your position slightly so you could breathe better. A comfortable silence fell upon you both as you basked in your girlfriend's embrace feeling warm and secure. Chaeyoung's shirt had ridden up slightly during the night and you lazily traced shapes on her waist. Your mouth was fixed in a smile which you knew wouldn't disappear anytime soon. Not while you lay here with your girl.

"Chaeyoung?"

"Yes, darling?"

"Can we have more mornings like these?"

With your head on her chest, you missed seeing Chaeyoung melt at your question. Knowing that this moment meant just as much to you as it did to her made her heart soar. She knew she was falling, falling hard for you.

"There's nothing I'd love more," she whispered as she tightened her grip to hold you as close as possible to her.

Sure, it was a bit early for you both to be saying three certain words to each other yet but moments like these made you feel the beginning of a deeper connection between you both. And you knew it wouldn't be long before the right came for those words to be said.

This was a half finished imagine from a while back that I reworked a bit. I haven't written anything from scratch in weeks but this is a good start I guess. I really wanted to finish this second batch of members imagines, even if my concentration isn't it right now, so hopefully I can publish one for Jeongyeon before the month is finished. I have no idea when I could write the next batch though lol.
