Background info-
You and hu tao had been dating for about 3 months now, but lately you've been so busy with work you haven't been able to take her on many dates. Hu tao may not show it but as her boyfriend you knew she was upset about it, so you decided to have a talk with her.

Knock Knock, you knocked on the door of the wangshu funeral parlor. Where hu tao works at. You checked the time. 3 pm 'she should still be working'.

You hear the door open. You look up from your watch and see a taller male, zhongli her colleague.

"Ah (reader). How may I help you?" He gave you a closed eyed smile. "I was wondering if hu tao was here? She gets off at 9 and it's only 3 so-" you get cut off because a certain brown haired girl jumped on your back

"Ugh! Hu tao!?"

"Hehe hi honey! (☺)" zhongli sighed "I believe you have found her... I'll leave you two be." He closes the doors gently, but you could still his foot steps retreat.

"Hu tao you're gonna break my back if you keep doing that every time we see eachother" you put her down slowly and gently while chuckling.

"But it's so fuuuun" she whined. You shoke your head slowly. You thought about how to start this conversation, hu tao wasn't big on showing her feelings. Sure you may be her boyfriend but that's no exception apparently.

"Earth to (reader)! You there?" She waved her hand in your face pulling you out of your thoughts.

"Sorry..I was just thinking"

"About what silly? Work again?" She was smirking as she raised her eyebrows.

"Hu tao we have to talk about us" you saw her face expression drop. 'I could have said that better' you thought

"Go on..?" You inhaled and exhaled praying to the archons this will go well, you heard her tapping her foot slowly getting impatient

"I know I've been extremely busy with work and not taking you out as much as you want. And before you say 'it's okay' don't. You may be able to fool others but you can't fool me behind that mask hu tao, so I'm sorry and I swear I'll make it up to you how ab-" She shuts you up by giving you a peak on the lips.

She giggles "Tonight 9:30 meet me right here for our date. Okay?" She smiles brughtly at you squeezing your hands. You sighed out of relief and smiled

"Oh thank archons" you looked back at her, she was still smiling at you.

"I'll be there I swear" you said kissing her forehead. She giggled, you could swear you would be able to fall asleep to her giggles alone. You were planning to buy her the biggest boutique of her favorite flowers and that red heart necklace she's been eyeing.

"Good, I'll bee waiting but nowwww I've gotta get back uhh work" she rolls her eyes as she groaned

"Hey.." she looked over

"I'll see you tonight okay sweetie?" She nodded quickly and jumped so she could wrap her arms around your neck. She gave you a quick squeeze before running inside wangshu funeral parlor.

You stood there for a few more moments smiling like a little boy who just tried ice-cream for the first time ever. You slowly walked off with your hands in your pockets. Still smiling like a freak

Pretty short story so apologies for that, I'm glad that someone requested hu tao tho cause I literally never see people making ANYTHING for her so thank you for requesting
