At first Izuku had been livid at his mate for even suggesting that they should have a pup right now. Top heroes hardly have time for themselves and bringing a pup into their hectic lives isn't fair to their pup. Katsuki braced himself for more anger when he gently pointed out that now might be the perfect time to have a pup since Izuku is temporarily quirkless.

"Just think about it, Deku. A little you and me running around with their tiny feet making messes here and there. Cute baby cheeks and outfits. And", he added quickly, "You're so young that your body will bounce back in no time. You're always worried about being out of shape, but if you have a pup now, you'll recover much more quickly than if you were, say, 30."

"I suppose" Izuku replied, his forehead scrunching up. He did want to have a pup, but it wasn't in his plan until he was a bit older. Izuku isn't totally delusional, he's read the reports that Gang Orca had given him. The other victim's quirks are still repressed. Maybe now would be a good time. He can raise their pup without the guilt of leaving them to be taken care of by a nanny. Once the pup is old enough to go to school, if his quirk returns, Izuku can go back to work.

"Ok, Kacchan! Let's start trying. It's the perfect time since I can stay at home with them until my quirk returns. Are you sure you're ready to be a Sire? I'm going to need your help too. I don't want all the responsibility of raising a pup on my own, Kacchan. They will need both parents."

Katsuki was so happy that Izuku had agreed. He couldn't help chuffing and kissing Izuku all over his face. "You'll be the fucking best Dam this country has ever seen, Deku. I promise I won't let work get in the way of my time with you or our pup. You can count on me to be there for you both. I promise."

They held each other close, foreheads touching as they released happy scents that envelope their bodies. They were going to become parents.

When Izuku's heat came on a couple weeks later, they spent the entire five days making passionate love. With every knot that tied them together, the pair cemented their bond. Gone was the idea of having a pup to occupy Izuku's time, in its place the knowledge that their child is going to complete their family. This child is being made with love, to be loved and to give love in return.

Nine uncomfortable months later their daughter Luna came into the world kicking and screaming. It would seem that the pup gets her looks from her Dam and her temper from her Sire. She has dark green curls with blonde highlights, emerald eyes and three freckles doting her cheeks. Katsuki knew that he would be obsessed with his cute daughter from the second she was placed in his arms. Luna even went home wearing a Papa's Little Girl onesie.

Izuku took to being a father easily. Sure the first few months were difficult with Luna waking up every three hours to nurse or needing her diaper changed, but after around the 6th month, she started sleeping through the night, much to her parent's relief.

True to his word, Katsuki had been a hands on father. He shared in the household chores and took care of Luna so Izuku could have a much needed break. Izuku had gained a bit of weight since having his daughter, but now that Luna is sleeping all night, Izuku has the energy to start running again to get back in shape.

But things started to change soon after Luna's third birthday. Katsuki seemed to be working longer hours. He would miss dinner altogether more than twice a week. Sometimes he wouldn't even make it home before Luna went to bed. Their pup had asked for her Papa on those nights, Izuku having to explain to his teary eyed daughter that her Papa loves her so much, but the life of a hero can make one super busy.

When Katsuki did come home on time, he would spend all his time praising his daughter and asking about her day and would hardly spare Izuku any time. The omega started to feel ignored and unloved. He didn't know what he had done to make his alpha change so much towards him.
