Katsuki and Luna returned early from their vacation with tan bodies and tense faces. Neither of them were looking forward to the angry omega they knew they were returning to. Katsuki had been surprised that Izuku had not called him or texted the entire time they were gone. He was sure that Izuku would at least say goodnight to Luna, but no, he hadn't. Izuku hadn't even responded to his texts. He had apologized for leaving him behind and that he had been a giant ass for having done it. Katsuki had asked if Izuku would like to fly out and join them for the remaining week that they were there. Radio silence.

Luna knew her sire wasn't enjoying their vacation without his mate. She felt bad as she watched other happy families playing in the waves or building sandcastles. One night she saw her Papa crying when her Daddy wouldn't answer his phone call. She heard him apologizing and begging him to return his call.

"Papa, are you ok?" she asked timidly. The scent of sadness wafting off the alpha brought tears to her eyes. She had never seen her sire so sad.

"No, Baby, I'm not ok. We treated your Dam really bad and broke his heart."

"I'm sorry," Luna sniffled, her emerald eyes filling with tears. "I was really mean to Daddy."

"Why were you, Luna? I should have asked you this a long time ago. What did your Dam do that made you treat him so badly?"

"Kids at school were making fun of him. They were calling him a quirkless has been, that's only good for hanging off an alpha's knot. I told them to shut up, but they started picking on me too!"

"What?! Luna, did you tell the teacher?"

"I tried to once, but those same kids were watching me. They pushed me down and one of them kicked me. They said it would be worse if I told on them, so I didn't."

Katsuki started to growl low with rage at whomever had touched his daughter. As soon as they get home he's marching over to that school and pounding the shit out of those punks. "Since they were being mean to me because of Daddy, I started to get mad at him because if it weren't for him being quirkless then I wouldn't be bullied. And.." she said quietly "you were being mean to Daddy too, so I thought it was ok. I started thinking it was his fault that you were unhappy too. You came home smelling like other omegas and I wondered if you were looking for a new mate. Someone better than Daddy."

Katsuki whimpered at what his pup had confessed to him. Not only had his pup been mean to her dam because of those punk ass bitches at school, but because she had seen him being an asshole to Izuku as well. His own pup thought he was cheating on his mate. She thought that he was looking to replace his defective omega with somebody better.

Katsuki knew he had royally fucked up. He had the perfect omega at home and he took him for granted. As he placed his pup in her nest for the night, Katsuki sat up for hours thinking about how he had let himself be such a royal asshole to his mate. To Izuku, who he's loved for most of his life. He closed his eyes and forced himself to remember all the times his hurtful words made Izuku's usually brilliant eyes fade, or that gorgeous smile fall after being pushed aside so callously.

Why had he done it? There are so many horrible excuses he's told himself over the years. Things like, they don't have anything in common anymore. Heroes usually marry other heroes who understand their jobs. He nags all the time so he's ungrateful. He's not interested in sex anymore. He's spending too much time painting and not enough time with me and Luna. He's boring. I'm not sure I'm in love with him anymore. I want my powerful mate back.

He was Jealous.

If he had just talked to his mate about his fears and frustrations none of this would have happened. If he had just agreed to family therapy, things could have been much better. Luna and Izuku would have been great if he had taken the time to find out what had been going on with her. She wouldn't have been bullied anymore and therefor wouldn't have been mean to her Dam. This is all his fault.
