FREYA HAD PROMISED DALE THAT she would keep an eye on Shane. And due to her current strife with Daryl, Freya strangely found herself with a lot of free time now that she wasn't motivated to mess with the man.
So now, she borderline stalked Shane whenever he stood too close to any of the Grimes family or gave one of them a strange look. And now that Freya was actively looking for Shane's odd behavior, she found it popping up more and more.
Freya had also changed her schedule to evolve around each of the Grimes. She took over Lori's job of teaching Carl any education she had to offer -which now also included teaching Sophia. Each lesson took from breakfast to just before lunch and then the children were free for the day. Which left Freya for a good 5 hours to watch out for Rick and Lori.
Lori spent most of her time doing chores and although she worked at a slow pace, Freya found it reasonably okay to chill out a bit on the chores. And when doing the chores, she mostly spoke to Maggie and Carol -which left Freya to grow close bonds with the three women.Rick was the more difficult one. He was Shane's best friend, and usually there was someone else sticking with him whenever he and Shane decided to go do something. Sometimes, Freya was left with no choice but to let the two go off alone, but when she could, Freya would join the two on their scouting or hunting.
And hunting meant Daryl -so Freya worked her way around to avoid going with Daryl when he went out on a hunt and usually Freya succeeded in this task. But today was not her day, and Freya found herself in-between Rick and Shane, making sure to keep her distance from Daryl. There was no way he could just call her a stupid bitch and she'd let him get away with it. Freya was nice, but she wasn't blind nor deaf. It wasn't like she was some kind of messiah that was all forgiving.
"So, Freya?" It had been a good 20 minutes since the last awkward conversation that lead the mini group into silence. Rick had been brave enough to throw his dice at another conversation. "Do you just not own a hair tie or?"
"She likes being sweaty." Daryl answered for her. Freya slowly narrowed her eyes at him. She showed him in confidence that 6 cigarette bumps on the back of her neck, and although he was keeping Rick off the topic, he wasn't really giving Freya the best rep.
"I like my hair down." Freya corrected.
"Where ya get all sweaty." Daryl added, not bothered to look behind him at the only person who ever had gave him multiple chances in what would be his entire life, and yet he had pissed that person off.
"At least I have showers unlike some people." Freya muttered, rolling her eyes and looking away from Daryl. Rick glanced at Shane who gave him the same look. Shane wasn't crazy all the time, he was relatively normal sometimes- Freya just hoped those sometimes would become more frequent.
Daryl muttered something under his own breath, and usually Freya wouldn't care; but for some reason, she cared a lot this time. She quickened her pace, timing her steps close to Daryl's long strides.
