With that, he rose from his seat and gestured for me to follow him, a sense of anticipation building in the air. As we made our way to confront Stefan, I couldn't help but wonder what lay in store for us.

As we approached the Salvatore estate I could already smell blood and when we entered my worst nightmares came true.

Stefan was in the living room with girls all around him, he was just feeding from one.

Damon approached him "Hello brother", "The lover boy's coming back" Stefan replied with a smirk.

"Its not what you think, I told Bella how I feel and kissed her. But she wanted me to stop and told me she doesn't like me but someone else."

Damons plan makes me even more insecure, Stefan looked at me and it was the first human expression I saw in his eyes since weeks. He looked at me and came closer "She's to good for both of us brother".

As Stefan's words echoed through the room, a wave of mixed emotions washed over me. Part of me felt a pang of guilt for having inadvertently caused this rift between the Salvatore brothers, while another part couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope at Stefan's unexpected display of humanity.

Damon regarded his brother with a mixture of surprise and disbelief, his expression betraying a hint of vulnerability beneath his usual bravado. "Stefan, what are you talking about?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Stefan sighed, his gaze drifting back to me. "You both know that I've been struggling with my humanity lately," he admitted, his voice heavy with remorse. "But seeing Bella, seeing how much she cares... it reminded me of what I've lost."

I watched in silence as the brothers shared a moment of quiet reflection, their shared history and tangled emotions laid bare for all to see. Despite the tension that hung in the air, there was a sense of solidarity between them, a bond that transcended their differences.

Damon's gaze softened, a flicker of understanding dawning in his eyes. "We'll figure this out, Stefan," he said softly, his voice laced with determination. "Together."

As the brothers exchanged a silent nod of agreement, I couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for their unwavering support. Despite the challenges that lay ahead, I knew that with Damon and Stefan by my side, we would find a way through the darkness.

Then Stefan turned back to his human less Stefan self "But I don't care even if she loves me" Damon just rolled his eyes. This was my chance I thought "If you dont, why are you still here and didn't leave ? Maybe you like me more than you want to admit" he just starred down at me.

Stefan's gaze bore into mine, his expression inscrutable as he contemplated my words. For a moment, there was a flicker of something in his eyes, a hint of vulnerability masked by the façade of indifference.

"Why are any of us still here?" he replied cryptically, his voice tinged with a note of resignation. "Maybe we're all just drawn to the darkness, unable to escape the pull of our own desires."

I felt a surge of frustration welling up within me at his evasive response. "That's not an answer, Stefan," I countered, my voice tinged with exasperation. "You can't just run away from your feelings and expect them to disappear."

Stefan's jaw tensed, his façade cracking ever so slightly under the weight of my words. "Feelings are irrelevant," he muttered, his tone clipped. "What matters is survival."

I shook my head, unable to suppress the surge of disappointment that washed over me. "Survival isn't enough, Stefan," I insisted, my voice pleading. "We need more than just to exist. We need to live."
