As we cleaned the entire living room Stefan came back to life, he was so pale, Damon just gave him a rabbit and said "That's it for today, Bella's parents are coming to visit and we have to get you back to normal or to tell them that you left the country, but since you are the one that corresponded with them I'd be glad to have you there" "Where's Bella?" Stefan simply asked. "I'm right here" I replied "Is it real what you're feeling for me or was it just a distraction to get my humanity back Bella ?"Stefan's question hung in the air, heavy with uncertainty and longing. I could see the doubt etched in his features, the fear of rejection lingering beneath the surface.
I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what I knew would be a difficult conversation. "It's real, Stefan," I replied, my voice soft but unwavering. "Everything I feel for you is real."
Stefan's eyes searched mine, seeking reassurance amidst the chaos that surrounded us. "But how can you be sure?" he asked, his voice tinged with desperation. "After everything that's happened, how can you still trust me?"
I reached out, gently placing my hand on his arm, the warmth of his skin grounding me in the moment. "Because I know you, Stefan," I said, my voice steady despite the uncertainty that gnawed at my insides. "I know the man you were before all of this, before the darkness consumed you. And I believe that he's still in there, somewhere, waiting to be set free."
Stefan's gaze softened, a flicker of hope igniting within him as he met my eyes. "Do you really believe that?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
I nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "I do," I replied. "And I'm not giving up on you, Stefan. Not now, not ever."
"But we really have to get you back Stefan, I need you because my parents don't know what we are and I don't want them to know and I can't let you feed on them. You know my father's a man of business and after the last days I couldn't make the deal with the Lockwood's" I added.
Stefan nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of the situation. "I know, Bella," he replied, his voice tinged with regret. "I'm sorry for everything I've put you through. I'll do whatever it takes to make things right."
I offered him a reassuring smile, grateful for his willingness to cooperate. "Thank you, Stefan," I said, sincerity lacing my words. "We'll figure this out together."
"Stefan don't run away please and Damon we have to go and get this deal done, we only have two days left" I was determined to get this deal to make my dad proud, after all the last days and weeks I needed it.
Stefan nodded, his gaze filled with determination. "I won't run, Bella," he promised, his voice steady despite the turmoil that churned within him. "I'll stay and do whatever it takes to get back to who I was."
I offered him a grateful smile, relieved by his commitment to stay and face his demons head-on. "Thank you, Stefan," I said, sincerity lacing my words. "We'll get through this together."
Turning to Damon, I felt a surge of urgency wash over me. "We need to leave now, Damon," I urged. "We can't afford to waste any more time."
Damon nodded in agreement, his expression serious as he prepared to accompany me on the mission ahead. "Let's go," he said, determination burning bright in his eyes. "We've got a deal to make."
As we arrived at the Lockwood's' estate, Damon wasted no time in letting his charm take center stage. With a confident swagger, he approached the grand entrance, his demeanor oozing with charisma and charm.
I watched from beside him, a mixture of admiration and apprehension swirling within me. Damon had a way of commanding attention wherever he went, his effortless charm and magnetic personality drawing people in like moths to a flame.
