"Celeste I haven't eaten all day, you have to distract the Salvatore brothers, if they are truly vampires I can't fed from them and compel them afterwards and it's only a few hours until the Founders Ball" Bella said anxiously.
Celeste nodded, understanding the urgency of Bella's situation. "Don't worry, Lady Bella. I'll handle the distraction. Enjoy your meal, and we'll reconvene before the ball."
As Celeste skillfully engaged the Salvatore brothers in conversation, drawing their attention away from Bella, she run as fast as she could out of the estate and into the next forest trying to hear any humans. Bella, seizing the opportunity, discreetly found a suitable source to feed upon.
But as she wanted to run back she heard someone behind her, Damon.
Bella, frozen for a moment, felt a shiver down her spine as she heard Damon's footsteps behind her. She turned, her composure intact despite the subtle surprise in her eyes.
"Running off so soon, Lady Bella? I thought we were going to enjoy a meal together," Damon remarked, his tone laced with playful intrigue.
With a quick, charming smile, Bella replied, "I simply wanted a breath of fresh air. The evening is too beautiful to spend it all indoors."
"The rumours are true you are a vampire" Bella determined "You fed from someone you smell like blood".
Damon, caught off guard for a moment, grinned with a mix of amusement and a hint of admiration. "Sharp senses, Lady Bella. You've figured it out."
Bella, undeterred, continued, "I'm not here to expose your secret. I have my own reasons for being in Mystic Falls. But let's keep each other's secrets, shall we? It could be advantageous for both of us."
Damon smirked and looked her deep in the eyes.
It shot Bella like a flash "I can't be seen with him that's not suitable for a Lady and daddy won't be happy about hearing that" Bella tried to run back as fast as she could but Damon was faster and caught her.
Damon, quick and nimble, effortlessly caught up with Bella before she could retreat. He held her gaze, a glimmer of challenge in his eyes. "Lady Bella, you can't escape".
Bella, torn between propriety and the allure of the supernatural, hesitated for a moment. "This isn't suitable," she insisted, her resolve wavering.
Damon, his trademark charm in full force, leaned in slightly, his voice a low, velvet whisper. "Who says the suitable is always interesting Lady Bella? The most thrilling tales are written in the ink of rebellion."
"Mr. Salvatore I'm gonna walk back alone, we will see each other at the Founders Ball" Bella said determinedly. Damon smirked as Bella walked away loving that she was a challenge.
Damon watched Bella walk away, her determined steps leaving an imprint on the moonlit path. His smirk deepened, appreciating the challenge that Lady Bella presented.
"Until the Founders' Ball, Lady Bella," he called after her, his tone carrying a hint of anticipation.
Bella arrived at the Salvatores mansion and was welcomed by Celeste, "The rumours are true Damon's a vampire, he was on the same mission as I was and he caught me. I should get ready now"
Celeste, her eyes reflecting a mixture of curiosity and concern, listened intently to Bella's revelation. "Vampires, intriguing" she mused. "Get ready, Lady Bella, the Founders' Ball awaits, and Mystic Falls is ready to embrace the mystique you bring."
