Seokjin POV
As Jungkook and I playfully argued over the last pack of chips, our banter filling the hospital room with laughter, I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy at the lighthearted moment amidst the seriousness of Taehyung's recovery.
"Come on, Jin hyung, you've had enough already," Jungkook protested, his playful grin betraying the seriousness of his tone as he tried to snatch the chips from my hand.
I chuckled, holding the pack just out of his reach. "I'm the oldest here, I deserve a little extra," I teased, dodging his attempts to grab the snack.
Taehyung's amused voice interrupted our playful squabble, drawing our attention to him as he sat up in bed, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "What's all this noise about, hyung?" he asked, a smile playing on his lips.
Jungkook and I exchanged sheepish looks, realizing how our childish argument must have sounded to Taehyung. "Just a little disagreement over who gets the last pack of chips," I explained, offering him a sheepish smile.
Taehyung shook his head in amusement, reaching for the pack of chips and deftly splitting it in half before handing each piece to Jungkook and me. "There, problem solved," he declared with a grin, defusing the tension with his easygoing manner.
Grateful for Taehyung's intervention, Jungkook and I exchanged grateful glances before settling down to enjoy our snacks together.
After our imprompt snack time, I retrieved the container of breakfast I had bought earlier and began feeding Taehyung with gentle care, ensuring that he ate his fill before settling back against the pillows with a satisfied sigh.
As we sat together, enjoying the simple pleasure of each other's company, a doctor entered the room, a smile on his face.
"Good news, Mr. Kim," the doctor announced. "You're recovering remarkably well, and we've decided it's time to shift you to the general ward."
Relief washed over me at the doctor's words, and I shared a grateful smile with Taehyung. "That's wonderful news," I said, genuine happiness evident in my tone.
As the doctor left to make the necessary arrangements, as we prepared to move to the general ward, surrounded by the love and support of our family, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope blossoming within me—a belief that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together, stronger and more united than ever before.
Sunghoon POV
I had already prepared for Taehyung and his companions' departure from the room to the general ward. Days prior, I discreetly placed hidden microphones in strategic locations, allowing me to monitor their movements and anticipate any potential threats.
As they gathered their belongings and prepared to exit the room, I listened intently, my heart pounding with a mixture of apprehension and determination. Every word exchanged, every movement made, was scrutinized through the lens of vigilance, ready to act swiftly if the need arose.
When the moment arrived for them to leave, I remained on high alert, my senses sharp as I waited for any signs of danger. As they stepped into the hallway, I kept a close watch, prepared to intervene at the first hint of trouble.
Suddenly, my suspicions were confirmed as I overheard snippets of a conversation that sent alarm bells ringing in my mind. The tone was hushed, but the intent behind the words was unmistakable – danger lurked nearby, poised to strike.
As I watched from the shadows, a surge of adrenaline coursed through me, sharpening my senses as I observed the unfolding danger with a steely resolve. Taehyung, Jin, and the others were oblivious to the threat lurking in the hospital corridors, but I was ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.
