Y/N POV:
The next morning, I awoke with a heavy heart, memories of Kim Wansun's chilling words replaying in my mind. The threat she posed felt more immediate than ever, and I needed answers. I decided to take a different approach, seeking solace and guidance from an unexpected source.
After a long day at the office, filled with the usual blur of meetings and deadlines, I returned home, the weight of the day's revelations pressing down on me. As dusk settled, I made my way to the garden—a place that held both comfort and sorrow.
This garden was more than just a serene retreat; it was where I spoke with Minji . Minji’s spirit seemed to linger here, offering me guidance and a sense of connection.
I settled onto the bench beneath the old oak tree, the air filled with the scent of blooming flowers. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, feeling Minji's presence envelop me like a warm embrace.
“Minji,” I whispered, my voice barely audible. “I need your help. I don’t know what to do.”
The air around me seemed to shift, growing warmer. I could almost feel Minji’s comforting hand on my shoulder. Her voice, soft and ethereal, filled my mind.
“Y/N, I’m here. What troubles you?”
I explained everything—the encounter with Kim Wansun, the cryptic clues, and the unsettling revelations about my family. As I spoke, the weight on my chest seemed to lighten, if only a little.
“Kim Wansun is dangerous,” Minji’s voice echoed in my mind. “She thrives on fear and manipulation. But you’re stronger than you realize.”
“I don’t understand what she wants from me,” I confessed, tears welling in my eyes. “She mentioned our family isn’t what it seems. Do you know what she meant?”
Minji’s presence grew stronger, her voice tinged with sadness. “Our family has secrets, Y/N. Secrets that were meant to be buried. But Wansun has a way of unearthing them. She’s using you to get to the truth.”
“Do you know what those secrets are?” I asked, desperation creeping into my voice.
“I know some,” Minji replied. “Our family was involved in things we shouldn't be involved in . You know right how they are helping others to take revenge .But you must be careful. Wansun will stop at nothing to get what she wants.”
“What should I do?” I asked, feeling both comforted and overwhelmed by Minji’s presence.
“Stay vigilant. Gather information discreetly. Trust no one but yourself,” Minji advised. “And remember, I’m always here with you. You’re not alone in this.”
As her presence faded, I felt a renewed sense of determination. I would uncover the truth, no matter the cost. Minji’s guidance gave me the strength I needed to face the challenges ahead.
BangChan POV:
That night, my surveillance of Kim Wansun continued with a heightened sense of urgency. The discovery of the warehouse and the impending threat made it clear that time was running out. I needed to stay one step ahead of Wansun to protect Mr. Kim's family and prevent whatever she had planned.
I decided to dig deeper into the men Wansun had met with at the private lounge. Using my contacts and the resources at my disposal, I identified a few of them as high-ranking members of an underground syndicate known for their illicit dealings. Their involvement confirmed that Wansun was orchestrating something far more sinister than I initially suspected.
As I compiled my findings, I received a message from Mr. Wang. The text was brief but urgent: "Meet me at the office. We have new intel."
I arrived at the office to find Mr Wang poring over a stack of documents, his expression grim. He looked up as I entered, motioning for me to sit.
