Y/N pov:

The next day, I headed to the office as usual, the rhythm of my routine providing a semblance of normalcy. Work was a blur of meetings and deadlines, a distraction I welcomed. As the day drew to a close, I decided to take a detour to my favorite café for a cup of coffee before heading home. The comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted me as I entered, a small solace in my hectic life. Little did I know, my evening was about to take a dramatic turn.

I spotted Kim Wansun sitting in a corner booth, her presence both unexpected and unsettling. My heart skipped a beat, a mix of curiosity and apprehension flooding my senses. She seemed to be waiting for me, her eyes locking onto mine with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine.

“What are you doing here, kim Wansun-shi ?” I demanded, barely containing the edge in my voice.

She smiled, a mysterious glint in her eyes. “I’ve been waiting for you, Y/N.”

A surge of questions bubbled up inside me, and I couldn’t hold them back. “Why? What do you want from me? What is all this about?”

Wansun leaned back, her demeanor calm and composed. “Where’s the thrill if I give away all the information? You have to uncover the truth yourself.”

“Then why are you here?” I shot back, frustration creeping into my tone.

She leaned forward, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “Enough about me. I’m here to speak about you.”

I laughed bitterly. “What is there to speak about me? There’s nothing you should know, I guess.”

Her smile widened, an unsettling combination of amusement and something darker. “Oh, but there is. You see, Y/N, I’ve been watching you for a while now. And I must say, I’m impressed.”

My grip on my coffee cup tightened. “What do you want, Kim Wansun?”

“I want to know what makes you tick. What drives you? What are your secrets?” she asked, her eyes never leaving my face.

I snorted, skepticism evident in my expression. “You think I’m just going to spill my secrets to you? After everything you’ve done?”

She chuckled, a low, husky sound that sent a chill through me. “Oh, no, Y/N. I don’t think that at all. But I do think you’re curious. Curious about me, about my motives, about what I know.”

My mind raced with questions, my anger barely contained.

“Let’s play a game, Y/N. A game of cat and mouse,” she suggested, her voice dripping with intrigue. “I’ll give you clues, and you can try to figure out what I want. But be warned, the truth may be more than you can handle.”

I stared at her, weighing my options. Despite my better judgment, curiosity got the better of me. “Fine,” I said, my voice firm. “I’ll play your game. But I won’t back down until I get the truth.”

Wansun’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Excellent. Let’s begin. The first clue is… your family is not what it seems.”

“What do you mean?” I asked, my voice sharp with suspicion.

She leaned back, her smile sly. “That’s for you to figure out. But remember, the truth is always hidden in plain sight.”

Determination surged within me. I wasn’t going to let Kim Wansun get the best of me. But then she leaned in again, her eyes narrowing with curiosity. “Tell me, Y/N, what is the significance of the scar on your left wrist?”

Shock coursed through me. How did she know about the scar? I’d never told anyone about it, not even my closest friends. “I… I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I stammered, trying to mask my confusion.
