December 2023

Christmas has just passed. The 25th was the most uneventful Christmas for me. I did nothing but look at the presents sitting under the tree. All of them were for Hyunjin so I was eager to give them to him. The 25th consisted of watching Hyunjin on a show where he performed. The performance of their newest album was unbelievable and high-energy. Even on a holiday, they didn't complain and performed for an audience.

The day had passed with messages and a few selfies sent to each other. The 26th came with ease overnight and Hyunjin was due to arrive at 11 am. I stayed in my fluffy pyjamas, ready to spend the day inside with Hyunjin. A lot of time has passed since we got together, not that we had an official question, it just happened over time. Yet, the time together felt longer than it was, it felt like an eternity since we had met. Every moment seemed to stretch on and time slowed down for us. The deep connection between us made it feel like we had known each other for years.

I made some breakfast for the both of us as my doorbell rang. I rushed to the door and opened it to the most wonderful sight. Hyunjin was standing there all wrapped up from the cold. I smiled at the sight - his nose was red from the cold while the rest of him was wrapped up in a long puffer coat. His hair was back to black after being a purple-red colour, plus it was shorter and no longer in his face all the time.

"Come in, I'll go turn on the heating and bring you your pyjamas!" I said to him, running around the house for his things.

He laughed, "You bought me pyjamas?"

I ran into my room to collect the fluffy pyjamas which matched mine. Hyunjin was standing in my sitting room looking at the presents under the tree. I turned him around with a hand on his waist and put the pyjamas in his arms.

"You can change in my room if you want," I told him with a smile. He nodded before departing to go into my room.

I went to the kitchen in a rush to check on the pancakes which were sitting on 2 plates in a short tower. I was fortunate they didn't tip over in my rush over to my door. I placed the already cut-up strawberries and raspberries on the top with some syrup and icing sugar. I brought them over to the table and placed them down just as Hyunjin was coming out of my room.

As I gazed at him, I couldn't help but notice how cute he looked in his fluffy pyjamas. The soft pastel-coloured fabric hugged his body, making him appear cosy and comfortable. His tousled hair added to his charmingly dishevelled appearance, and his peaceful expression conveyed a sense of calmness. Overall, his outfit made him look adorable like a child snuggled up in bed on a lazy Sunday morning.

"Here, I made breakfast," I told him and chuckled at how much he looked like he belonged with me.

"Yes! Thank you, I haven't eaten yet," He yawned as he trudged his way over to my sofa.

I followed behind him and we sat comfortably together as we ate and watched a show which came up on normal TV. It wasn't anything interesting so when we finished eating and I took the dirty dishes to the kitchen, I got excited to see him open his presents.

"Time for presents!" I announced with a bounce in my step.

I had ordered all of Hyunjin's presents online because the thought of going into busy stores without Hyunjin during the peak Christmas shopping time seemed almost impossible to me. Over the last month, my therapist has said to avoid certain places and times because even with certain things to help, I would still be overwhelmed. Christmas always got busy, she told me, and she was afraid I'd hurt myself again.

"How many are for me?" He asked as he sat down near the tree. I helped push the small table out of the way so he had more room.

"All of them babe," I told him with a soft smile.
