TW: Mention of depression and suicide, anxiety, mentions of weed, drugs, and alcohol, mentions of sexualitys
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The both woke up the next morning, 5:00 AM. Them both in bed, cuddling. Friendly. Not romantically. The knock on the door breaking their eye contact. Valerie's mom walked in. "Get ready for school you lazy bums." She said, teasingly.

She turned the bedroom light on and opened the blinds, letting light in. She walked out, shutting the door. Brianna and Valerie got up. They did the normal routine, Brianna in the bathroom first. Valerie in there second.

They did their normal morning routine. Using the bathroom, washing face, brushing teeth and hair, then getting dressed. The normal. Valerie always thought of the same thing each and every morning. "What would happen if I died or ran away? Would anyone miss me?" She'd ask herself.

There are points in some peoples life where you feel like nothing. You feel no emotion, show no emotion, feel like you get no attention. The main 3 signs of depression. Which depression leads to anxiety. Then to you dying from suicide or attempting suicide. The least thing anyone wants. Unless you deal with depression.

Depression and anxiety is and could be a daily struggle for most people. But then again, god throws things in your life for a reason. No one knows why. God can do you good and bad deals. He gives you the chance to live. To love. And to feel. He can also end all of those things in a second. It just takes a few words.

By the time they finished their morning routine it was 7. Time to walk to school. Brianna's parents knew she'd go there most days. But they still didn't bother to care. Valerie's mom would always tell Brianna that she's welcome there anytime, any day. She wants her to have a place to go to after an argument with her parents. She feels bad.

They entered the school premises. The prison premises. They walked to their lockers, all eyes on them. It was uncomfortable for them. The attention, every second. It wasn't something they were used to. It was new. Too new.

Class came for them. Science. Sadly. They took their seat and started to zone out once again. Valerie thinking about running away and suicide, Brianna thinking about her drug addict parents and dying. Both heads aren't the brightest right now. Not everyone's head is. It's normal.

They never adored love. Never had it and never wanted it. They just wanted to feel something. They wanted to feel human. Everyone does. But it just doesn't come naturally. Most people feel like they have to work for it. But they really don't.

Valerie nudged Brianna's arm. Brianna looked over at her, confused. "Who's house are you gonna be at tonight? My mom's asking." Valerie asked, quietly. "Mmm I think mine." Brianna replied. Valerie nodded her head as they turned back to the front of the class.

The day slowly but surely went by for them. Science, math, lunch, history, Spanish. People who suffer 8 hours of school should have nap time within it. Like preschoolers. Or most of them...

Valerie walked home as Brianna rode the bus home. There Brianna was, her least favorite place. Where her parents are. Whenever she's in their presence, they act like she was made to be yelled at every minute. No one wants a life like that.

She walked through the front door. She didn't hear anything. She went to the living room and the first thing she saw? Her parents, on the floor, passed out. A bunch of beer bottles and joints. She covered her nose at the disgusting smell.

She picked the beer bottles and joints up carefully, placing them in the trash before going upstairs. She entered her room and sat on the bed. She never had anything to do at her own house but at Valerie's, there was everything she wanted to do.

Watch tv, play games, karaoke, stuff like that. At her house there's no tv, no games, and a strict rule of no shouting. She never got that rule because they shout every second unless they're sleeping. Weird.

She started scrolling through her phone, looking for a job or jobs. Whatever could help her out. Her parents don't work, that means someone needs to provide for the house and it most certainly is not them.

"Janitor job"

No

"Bathroom cleaner"

No

"Fast food cashier"

Yes

She instantly clicked on it and filled out the application form faster than flash could. She smiled hard. She started kicking her feet, excitedly. She always wanted to have a reasonable priority. There she no had one. Well she still needs to see if she gets excepted but whatever happens, it happens for a reason.

She kicked her shoes off and let them tumble on the floor. She immediately called Valerie.

"What's wrong?" Valerie asked, worried.

"Nothing, I just submitted an application for a job. Parents are passed out as always" Brianna replied.

"You go girl!" Valerie said.

"Is that Brianna. Tell her to come over we can celebrate." You could hear Valerie's mom in the back.

"I'll be there." Brianna replied, hanging up and going to get ready.

She put on gray sweatpants and a blue, fuzzy hoodie. She put her shoes on and exited her house, walking over to Valerie's. When she got there, there was a cake in the middle of the table and food on plates.

Brianna's mouth opened in awe. She took a seat, realizing Valerie's dad isn't there. "He's at work." Valerie's mom answered her question. "Is my mind mindreadable?" Brianna wondered. She started filling her plate up with food, as well as Valerie. It was like a whole feast for thousands of hippos who are hungry. God.

They finished their food an hour later, going upstairs. They took a seat on Valerie's bed and started talking.

"And Chris-" Valerie started to say. "Oh my gosh don't get me started with him" Brianna said, cutting her off. It made them both laugh. "No because him and John were doing some stupid shit" Valerie said, causing them to both laugh again.

"Honestly, I don't know if I'm feeling John anymore" Valerie said, causing Brianna's jaw to drop down to her feet. "Is this Valerie finally figuring out her sexuality?" Brianna said. Valerie shrugged.

The feeling they get when they're together makes them feel real. Like humans. Not plastic, Humans. It's the best feeling for someone who has dark thoughts most of the time.

The depression and anxiety being removed from their body's when they come near one another. It's like true happiness. Not anger or sadness, just happiness. No negative vibes. Just positive.

That good vibe and happiness they feel around each other instantly turns off when they're apart. It's like an automatic switch that flickers on and off every minute. They don't get the same feeling around their parents as they do around each other.

They turned "Criminal Minds" on again and continued their happiness from there.
