Chapter 6

We finish dinner when I get pulled away by Kerry to do paperwork. B leaves us in his trailer knowing we wouldnt be bothered there then leaves with the guys for mic check and apparently PJ is sent with me. Kerry and I are laughing and talking as I sign papers.
"Boss is here." Pj says poking his head in
"Thank Pj he can come in." I say smiling at B as he walks in and sits next to me on the couch.
"So Luke told me you are together." She says looking between us.
"Kerry keep this from the press please it literally just happened I don't want it out yet." B says.
"I know but when we get there you realize this is going to be good for her right." She says.
"But wait won't people think I'm with him just to get into the music industry." I ask
"That doll is where we say we weren't together till after you started this." He says throwing his arm over my shoulders.
"Brantley is right Suzanna." She says
"But we werent." I counter
"Actually you were, I've had this contract written up because I had a feeling you would give in for one and two you came to me the day you got here and you've been here for what four days now and you just got together." She says looking at me then B who nods.
"OK ok I get it." I say falling back into the couch
"Can we get a moment to ourselves Kerry. I'll make sure PJ gets this to you in asap." B asks her.
"Yeah of course." She says smiling at us and leaving.
"You guys good boss?" PJ asks looking between us.
"Yeah come get us when I have to leave for vip." He says and PJ leaves us.
"B I'm sorry I snapped at her I'm just worried." I say looking at him.
"We know Doll." He says tugging me to his side.
I rest my head on his shoulder and sigh softly. I shift so my legs are on his and I play with his necklace. He chuckles and pulls me into his lap wrapping his arm around my waist and placing the other on my thigh. He stretches out and lays his head against the couch. I smirk to myself and steal his hat putting it on. He scowls at me but shakes his head letting it be.
"B." I say softly
"Yeah doll?" He asks looking at me.
"Why don't we do a tour together and I open for you." I say looking at him trying to gage his reaction.
"You kidding me! That's a great idea but you have to get Kerry to agree!" He chuckles at me.
I release a breath I didn't realize I was holding. "You think she would agree?"
"I mean maybe but if you say it gives us more time to get to know each other and plus it gets you out there quicker if that's what you want." He says
"Honestly I'm down to do this." I say smiling at him.
He kisses me deeply and I melt into him chest. I giggle pulling away from him after a moment. He smiles and kisses all over my face which makes me squeal softly and try to pull away.
"Nice try Doll but your stuck here." He whispers and kisses me deeply again.
I moan softly into it and kiss him back. He shifts me in his lap and it becomes a heated make out session.
"B, we can't not yet." I whisper pulling away from him a little.
"I know." He says softly with his eyes closed still.
I lean my forehead against his and sigh happily. There's a knock on the door and I shift off his lap. He opens the door to see Luke and he steps aside so he can come in.
"Already stealing his stuff huh." He teases noticing B's hat on my head.
"Yes she is." He chuckles and takes it back from me.
"Rude it looked better on me and we know it!" I joke.
"Whatever doll. imma go change because meet and greets are soon." He says placing a kiss to the top of my head before walking to the back of his bus.
"What's up luke?" I ask grabbing the pen and finishing up the papers that Kerry left.
"Just checking on you." He says smiling at me
"I'm good Luke. B and I are gonna see if Kerry is up for me touring with him and opening for him. If not I'll still tour with him just not sing yet." I say putting the pen down. I get up and grab the papers and go to the door.
"Hey what's up boss lady?" PJ asks.
"Hey can you get these to Kerry when you take B to meet and greets?" I ask.
"Yeah that's not a problem." He says taking them from me.
"Thanks PJ." I say before closing the trailer again and turning to see B standing there with a smirk.
'Damn this man. I don't know how long this charade of not wanting to jump his bones is gonna last if he keeps smirking at me.' I grumble to myself.
"Doll?" B raises his eyebrow.
"What?" I ask clueless.
"I've been calling you for the last 5 minutes." He chuckles looking down at me.
"Oh sorry got lost in thought." I smile at him.
"Yeah you did." Him and Luke say.
"Meanys." I scowl and plop down in his chair.
"You love us." Luke says.
"Debatable." I snort.
"Ouch doll." B chuckles holding a hand to his chest in mock hurt.
I shake my head at them. "Come on you've got meet and greets."
"Yes I'm aware." B chuckles and wraps his arm over my shoulder as we walk towards the concert hall.
"I can't go with you B." I say pulling away.
"Yeah you can stay with pj just don't make it noticeable were together." He says.
"Boss that means you gotta play cool to." PJ teases him.
"Yeah b!" I giggle and lean into him more.
"Hey you can team up with him doll! Not cool." He gasps in fake hurt.
"Oh shut up and kiss me before we have to act like nothing is going on between us." I roll my eyes.
"Yes ma'am." He mutters an kisses me softly before he walks away with PJ and I following.
"B you uh might wanna wipe my lipstick off your lips." I laugh
"Yeah yeah." He mutters scowling at the fact that we gotta act in different towards each other.
"What's his problem." Kerry asks.
"He hates that him and Boss lady gotta act indifferent." PJ says before rushing over to B.
"You sure you don't wanna just go out with it now." She whispers to me.
"Not yet. But I did wanna ask if you think me and B going on tour together would be a good idea. We don't have to we can always wait till I get my first album out and then do a tour. Just no matter what you say he wants me to stay on his bus with him and we might make it public after a while." I say
"Let's wait till album one is done before we do a tour and if you want to release you guys to the public make sure you go through me because I don't want something to go wrong and mess this up for you." She says.
"I understand that which is why I asked you." I said.
"Let's go in there and wait for him then when all this is done tonight you can have your time alone." She says smiling at me.
I nod and follow her in and stand next to PJ. PJ looks at me silently asking if I'm OK and I just nod to him. I watch B with a smile and can't help but feel proud of how he treats his fans. I'm to ingrossed I'm my thoughts to notice all the fans have left and B is standing in front of me.
"Doll." He chuckles at me.
"I did it again didn't i?" I ask blushing.
"Yeah." He chuckles and wraps his arm around me and we walk out of the room.
"Let's go the back way so no fans see yall." PJ says guiding us through a dark hall.
"Sorry I keep zoning out." I smile sheepishly at B.
"It's ok Doll." He smiles at me.
"Oh hey Kerry wants to wait on the tour thing. Also when we make this public she says go through her first." I whisper to B.
"Fair enough but I do have a question then do you still wanna tour with me even if you aren't singing." He asks me.
"I was hoping that would be ok." I ask with a grin.
"Of course it is Doll." He smiles.
"Yay." I giggle and stop walking.
"What?" he asks me as i smile up at him and pull him down for a quick kiss.
"Thank you." i smile at him
"Of course now lets go before PJ and kerry send a search party." He chuckles dragging me to the group
"Took yall long enough!" Luke and jason yell at us as we near them.
"See i told you jason they were to busy sucking faces." Luke says.
"Dude!" jason laughs seeing my red lipstick on BGs' lips.
"Guys please stop." I say softly looking at jason and luke. They immediately stop and hug me.
PJ hands B a wet wipe before to many people notice. Ben comes running over and bear hugs me making B smile at us. I laugh softly and hug him and the rest of the band. Ben whispers something to B and B smacks his arm before sneaking over and tugging me into his arms. I smile and lean into his chest happily. Each of the boys take their turn on stage and before i know it B is up and he has to leave my side. B smiles and kises my head then cheek before bownding onstage and singing his set. I sing along to his songs as they play them. finally the show is over and he runs off stage scooping me up and kisses me softy. i giggle and rest my forehead to his.
"You stink mister." I smile scrunching up my nose at him.
"Come on the girls moved your stuff into my trailer so you can stay with me." He smiles and holds my hand as we walk back.
"Fine." I playfully pout at him.
"Imma shower and then we can do whatever you want." he says as he lets me into the trailer first.
"Ok." I say smiling at him.
"Here." he says handing me a shirt of his before kissing me and headed to the bathroom with an arm load of clothes and a towel.
"Thanks!" I hollar and get changed before slipping into his bed and turn on the tv.
I hear his shower turn off and a few minutes later he walks out in sweats and a beater.
"Got comfy already I see." he teases and crawls in next to me.
"Yeah might as well if this is my permanent home." I chuckle.
"What do you wanna watch?" He asks as I scroll through netflix.
"No clue B. I kinda just wanna cuddle and listen to music." I yawn.
"Alright." He chuckles and takes the remote and putting on spotify, "Here sign in so you can play your stuff to."
"Mkay." I say and sign in quickly and then I put on my playlist and hit play.
We lay there cuddled up and just talking about random things. B was going on and on about his family farm and his dog when he noticed I had fallen asleep on his chest. He chuckled and turns off his lamp before kissing my head and dozing off himself. It’s been four months that I've been touring with him. Right now were back in his home town and on top of that we started working on my first album. We're getting ready for an interview.
"Doll i have a question for you before this happens." He says
"Whats up?" I ask him looking up from my phone.
"Do we wanna announce it today during the interview I know kerry already gave the ok if we wanted to." He says.
"You know what yeah lets do that. imma text kerry about something else though before we go in." I say and he kisses my cheek.
"Ok make it quick." he says.
'Kerry i wanted to ask you if it was ok to say something about my album that we started?' i ask her.
'Make sure brantley knows and can help you word what to say but yeah.' she says.
"Baby!" I whisper yell
"What?" He asks me.
"She said I can make an announcment about my album but you have to help me with that and then if they ask thats when we say something about being together." i say.
"Ok, you got this I'm right here." He says and places a quick kiss on my cheek right before they come in to grab us for the interview.
"Hi welcome, I'm Sadie and today im here with Brantley and Susanna." Sadie says
"Hi." B and I say together making her laugh
"Ok first off I wanna ask this polietly but how do you know brantley and whats your relationship with him." She asks me.
"Well um first I Met B through my cousin in law Luke bryan and second Kerry his wonderful manager is a good friend of us both and he got me a contract with her." I say
"Wow no way so your the one who took over lukes show one night while on tour?" she asks.
"Guilty." I laugh making them both laugh to.
"Okay and is there going to be an album soon?" She asks.
"Actually yeah she just got done recording her last song for it. I've been in the studio helping her where I can." B says smiling at me.
"Oh thats ao sweet of you Brantley." She says
"Such a true southern gentleman." I tease touching his arm making her laugh.
"So I gotta ask Brantley whats it like helping your best friends cousin in law?" She asks.
"Well for one her and luke act like family so to each other they are cousin and honestly she is awesome. Suzy and I have gotten along well." He says.
"Ok so Suzy and Brantley ive been noticing the looks whats going on here." She asks teasingly.
"Well we might be business part but more importantly her and i have been dating for a bit now and before you ask no we werent together before kerry signed her on. It was an after the fact thing that happened. Her and i just clicked really well and it kinda just happened." B says taking my hand.
"Now Susanna, Brantley isnt your first country artist you've dated is it?" She asks.
"No he isn't but that was the past and i think Hunter feels the same." I say.
"Very true but would you work with Hunter ever." she asks
"If he asks i mean yeah it would be nice to be friends again but thats only if he is open to it."I say.
"Brantley whats your take?" She asks
"I'm her boyfriend here to suport so if she wants to i aint stopping her. Plus shes a grown woman and can handle herself." He says smiling at me.
"See sadie such a gentleman." I laugh and kiss his cheek.
"He defintely is now one more question for you guys." she say.
"Yeah go for ir." I say
"When is the album date and brantley are you on it?" She asks.
"No im not on it and I if I remember correctly her and kerry are gonna have it in stores on the 20th." He says looking at me.
"Yeah so September 20th which is what two weeks away Kerry and I are doing my album debue and I'll be at Brantleys concert that weekend selling copies. You've probably heard a few on spotify and the radio already, but i think Brantley and I are gonna wait a little bit before we put out an album together. I know we have plans to and we already have songs writen but it will be a little bit." I say
"Well thats amazing and to have such a knowledge of the industry is amazing and also people who are ready and able to help you with this dream." She says.
"Yeah its been a dream of fine since i was little and now here i am making it happen all while dating Brantley Gilbert." I laugh making him laugh and hug me tightly.
"Awe yall are cute anyways thank you for joining and talking to me. Don't forget to preorder Southern Gentleman by Susanna Boyer and get your tickets to see Brantley this weekend in concert. Thank you again for coming." She says
"No thank you." I say smiling at her.
"Thank you Sadie and we will see you next time." Brantley says and they cut the interview and we leave.
My phone dings obessesively and I pull it out only to hundreds of intagram notifications and texts from friends and family. B looks over and laughs before taking my phone and sliding it into his pocket. he pulls me close as we head to his truck.
"Doll." He says looking at me.
"Yeah B?" I ask him.
"Where do you wanna go to eat?" He asks.
"You pick just nothing fancy more like some whole in the wall joint." I say smiling at him.
"I got just the place." He smirks and opens my door.
"You and that damn smirk." I giggle and kiss him gently.
"You love it." He mutters against my lips.
"Damn right i do." I smile and peck his lips just then my stomach growls.
"Lets go get food." He laughs closing my door and jogging to his side and then we leave.
while we drive I respond to message from friends and family. I sigh and set my phone back in the center console where B put it when he got in the truck. I look over at him and smile happily. I feel like I'm on cloud nine right now and I just cant help but slide over into the center seat after moving our phones and rest my head on his shoulder. He glances at me and rests his hand on my leg. I turn up the radio a little bit when I gasp in surprise.
"B! omg thats my song!" I squeal turning it up more.
"Heres a new artist that we got to have a lovely interview with her and her man Brantley. heres Miss Susanna Boyer with her new song Southern Gentleman." sadie says.
"Holy shit Doll!" B exclaims and pulls over.
"B!" I giggle with tears flowing down my face. he laughs and hugs he tightly.
"I didnt think she would play a song of yours." He mutters into my hair.
"Luke i gotta call luke!" I exclaim and just then my phone rings, B is qiucker to grab it.
"Suzys phone." He says putting it on speaker.
"SUZY! YOUR SONG IS ON THE RADIO!!!" Care yells
"I know!" I laugh still wrapped in Bs arms.
"OH MY GOD I CANT BEILIVE THIS!" Jason and luke yell.
We all finally calm down and B hangs up the phone still holding me tightly. I pull away with tears atreaming down my face he smiles and wipes them away before kissing my deeply. I melt into his arms and giggle happily.
"Is this really happening?" I ask him
"Yes it is Doll." He nods smiling back at me.
"Your phone is going off as well B." I giggle.
"Its just ma and kolby wondering when im bringing you to meet them." He says.
"Answer it then Baby." I laugh pushing his phone into his hands.
"Hi ma, Yes we heard it. shes crying her eyes out. yes i know ma. sunday lunch how about then? ok i love you to ma see you sunday." He says.
"What was that about?" I ask
"So wanna me ma and kolby tomorrow?" he asks.
"Imma have to soon so why not." I say smiling.
"Good now lets go get food because im starving and I think you are to." He smiles
"Then we go back to your place and relax?" I ask him.
"Yeah sounds good to me and since were gonna be here a while imma bring home Sy from Mas place when we go out there." He says

((Two chapters in one day im on a roll. well i cant beileve this but im actually not stuck in a rut atm with this story so you may get another chapter today. that is if my hands are killing me to much))
