Chapter 26: Awakening

"Ego...Diego," the boy heard his name as he slowly open his eyes to see it was white. He looks to see a brown hair girl with red glasses, he try to talk but no words came out. The girl sigh happily, "good, your not dead. You must be unconscious," she told him.

She put her hand on his head, "still it's too early for you to die. Don't want your friends to worry about you," she told him smiling. She softly push him which made him fall, she looks at him as he falls as she waves her hand, "see you soon, ............" He couldn't hear the last word.

He soon woke up to see a light on the ceiling and a heart monitor beeping, he slowly sit up. He felt a sharp pain on his left shoulder which made him twitch a bit, he looks around to see he was in a hospital bed. "Was I...dreaming all of it," he thought thinking about Gamindustri and the Goddesses, a door open up as a nurse walk in.

"I see, your awake," she says pouring some water in a cup, the boy looks around. "Wh-what day is it?" He ask as the nurse spoke, "the 25th of June," he thinks for moment. He got hit by the car on the 22nd of June, so he slept in three days. "And who is the president?"

"President? What are you talking about, this is Planeptune where the Goddess Purple Heart resides," she says. Hearing her the boy just smiles slightly, "okay...thanks." She hands him his cup and walk out of his room, he looks at the water thinking about how he has died and came to Gamindustri. He sees his water move around a bit.

"No running in the hospital," he heard one of the nurse said, the door swing open fast showing both Tempest and Neptune. "Diego!" They both say in unison, "Neptune...Tempest."

"Lord Diego," the red hair guy hugs his master tight, "I'm so glad you are awake." "Tempest...can't...breathe," he told him as Tempest let's go.

"Jeez, you two shouldn't have run. Didn't you hear the nurse," Noire walks in along with the other Three Goddesses and Four CPU Candidates.

After a while has gone by everyone was scattered around the room. "So...you got knocked out by a hole created on your chest?" Noire ask. "It's true and his heart stopped too," Compa says. "Well...he's still alive so it's fine," Neptune told them.

"It's not fine," everyone look at Diego as he looks down gribbing his bed sheets, "Lastation was destroyed...I was knocked out for almost a week...and I was too weak to not only stop him, but to also save the people." Tears form in his eyes as he shakes a bit.

Blanc steps forward, she smack him on the head hard, "there is no need to be so down, dumbass. You're alive, you saved as many people as you can, and stop from getting all of Gamindustri destroyed. What else could you want from that?"

"I WANT A NORMAL LIFE!" Diego shouted back. Everyone stood there in silence, "don't you see, I'm not from this dimension, this world. I died and bought back to this world...to...to protect it from an ancient demon or even the Jekylls. And what does that lead, destruction. When I first fought the first Jekyll, Planeptune was almost wiped out. But with the nine Jekylls that came here, they destroyed Lastation, because I was too late...too weak. I...just," he grib the bedsheets more as tears come down. "I just wanted to a normal life and protect the ones I cared about."

Everyone stood there as the boy cried, Noire steps forward looking at him. "I know what you mean...but, not everyone can get what they want. You can only do your best, no one is suspecting you to be better, but to be you. We don't care about you because you're a weilder, we care about...because you're our friend."

After she said that, Diego looks at the wet spots on his bed due to crying. He then gets out of bed, without hesitation, he hugs Noire. "Thank you," he whispered, she smiles as she hugs him back.

"This is a touchy moment," someone says. "More like a boring one," a female voice calls out.

Diego's back glow and out came Jekyll and Hyde looking at them. Everyone was shocked expect for Diego, Noire, and Uni. "Y-Y-you came out of his back," Nepgear stated, Jekyll just smiles. "Not quite, we are his swords, Master Diego's swords."

"Hold on, you can't call him that, his name is Lord Diego," Tempest yells out. Janx stops his brother and looks at the two, "we overheard the conversation, we can help you get stronger. By obtaining Awaken," Jekyll said to him as Diego sighs.

"Look I appreciate what you are doing, but...do you think I have the power for Awaken?" "Most certainly, I see you grow stronger everyday. Your IQ needs better work though."

Diego got angry looking at him, "my IQ?" Neptune and Vert chuckles quietly so no one would hear them. "Right now, your level is at 30, 34 at most. You can achieve Awaken by 40, and defeating a Jekyll."

After saying that the boy looks at him, "alright, I already defeated a Jekyll. So getting Awaken is a piece of cake," everyone smiles hearing him, they can hear the enthusiasm in his voice. He looks at the four goddesses and smiles at them, "this time...I won't lose."

In a dark cave, Johnson enters seeing a female with a scythe. "Are you ready to attack them...CFW Magic."
