Chapter 48: Vert vs Zek

Zek falls to the ground in Leanbox, people around were scared and ran away. "Damn it all...was that Diego?" He ask himself.

"Ara~ ara~ it seems an enemy has falling in my nation," he look behind him to see the Goddess of Leanbox, Green Heart aka Vert. "It must be an honor for you to come see me in your true form, Miss Green Heart," Zek told her with a straight face and an undertone voice, Vert just look at him as she smiles. "Guess I should ask for you to stand down then?"

"Sorry, but...ain't gonna happen," Zek pulls out his sword looking at her. Vert prepared her spear as she looks at him, the two look at each other for awhile, then they both attack simultaneously.

Vert swings her spear from left and right, as for Zek, he blocks the attack with his only sword. 'He's strong, for sure,' the goddess thought to herself. "Cyclone Stab," as Vert pierce with her spear, a tornado was form around Zek. He couldn't believe it, he uses his sword to swing down and blocked the attack. He look up to see a smirk on Vert's face, 'she's smiling...what for? Did I mess up?' He thought, he didn't show any expression as he looks at her. "At least show some sort of expression, I would hate to hurt someone without any expression," Vert says as she pulls her spear back. "Rainy Ratnapura," Vert moves her spear fast and tries to attack him.

Zek felt the attack amd was pushed back, 'no....I can't die,' multiple holes was shown in his body as he looks at her, 'I...have to use it.' He lift his sword up as he looks at her. "Awaken...Hercules."

Vert eyes went shocked as an explosion happened around him, she looks at the flames die down to show smoke. Before she can react, she sees a buff Zek with a big smile on his face, "you wanted to see an expression right...Hercules Level Two: Push Punch," he punch Vert in the stomach causing her to push back.

As she manages to stop her push back, she looks up to see Zek, still smiling, looking at her. "Hercules Level Five: Front Flip Kick," the heel of his feet hit the back of her head causing her to fall on the ground, head first. Zek jumps back as he smiles at her, "it seems out of all four goddesses...you're the weakest, huh?" He ask as he sees Vert struggles to get up, blood drip off her face as she looks at him. 'So you don't have any younger siblings?'

*Flashback*

Vert, in her human form, looks at Diego as she nods. "Yeah, I'm kinda jealous of the other Three Goddesses have younger sisters," she says scratching her cheek. Diego smiles as he looks at her, "how about this...I'll be your younger brother...even though I'm in Lastation."

*End of Flashback*

Vert slowly stands up as she looks at Zek. "I...am not...going to...give...up," she told him. Her share crystal shines bright, as she feels it, she looks at her enemy and points her spear at him. "Access," she shines bright covering all of Leanbox.

Zek cover his eyes as his eyes went wide, her white armor changes into black, with some green around her with an green X on her chest, and her spear changes into a double ended spear.

'Impossible...I've heard about this. This is her Next Gen,' Zek thought looking at the female.

"Prepare yourself," Vert says. Zek goes to a fighting stance as he smiles, "Griggs Lance," she lift up her right hand as wind bullets shoots at Zek. He dodges the attack, as he sees Vert come towards him, "Six Part Thrust."

She cuts Zek six time as he feels his body bleeding from his shoulders, chest, back, and legs. She moves back as she looks at him, "give up?"

Zek looks down as he feels his body bleeding out

*Flashback*

"Have to say...your pretty strong," Johnson says looking at a beat up, bloody, and use Zek.

'Before I became a Lieutenant, I was living in a bad house. My so called father abuse me and use me whenever mom is out.'

"Your mom's out," Zek's dad said as he walk up to him. Zek looks at his dad with a scared look, "no...please...don't." As soon as his hands goes to Zek hair, the young guy pulls out a knife to attack his dad.

His dad didn't go down without a fight, he hits him, force to undress him, and begin to have his way.

Zek manages to break free and stab his dad's neck.

"I can make you a Lieutenant."

*End of Flashback*

'I...will not be like him...I will defeat this Goddess, I will not kill her.'

He put his hands, palms and knuckles together as he smiles, "Okonchantel'noye Probuzhdeniye."

A bright was shown which blinds Vert, soon the light downs down showing all clouds around them, a choir, and stairs that Zek is at. "Olympus Coliseum."

Vert was shocked to see this as she look shocked. "Okonchantel'noye Probuzhdeniye; AKA Ultimate Awaken, is allow the user to use there powers however they want. For mine, we are still in Leanbox."

"Doesn't seem like it," she says as the guy smiles. "Think of it like a barrier," he said as Vert smiles, "so a Shinobi Kekkai?" She ask.

The guy looks at her shocked, "the hell is a Shinobi Kakkai?" "Oh nothing." 'His demeanor change...is this what happens when they use Awaken...I hope Diego doesn't act like this.'

She sees him come towards her fast as he smiles. "Time to defeat you, goddess," he punches her stomach and kicks her.

Vert got hurt as she stands up, she holds her spear tight. Her vision was blurry, but she sees Zek come in front of her with a smile on his as he punches her face.

Zek punches her face, neck, stomach over and over. "What's wrong...can't fight back?" He ask as he created a fist, he move his fist down towards her face.

'Diego...I'm...sorry,' she closes her eyes to accept her fate, till she heard a cling. She slightly open her eyes and look over to see Jason Kishuu. "Are you okay...Lady Green Heart?" He ask. She nodded her head, "then let me take care of him."

"Ha...you think you can take me down," he said smiling and goes up to Jason. The blacksmith grab a yellow stone from out of his pocket and put it on the sword.

"Forgive me...Yellow...Slash," he swings his sword, cutting something. Zek eyes went wide as his neck down to his hips was cut. His heart exploded by the slash.

"I was just...wanted to see...how strong Lady Green Heart is," Zek falls to the floor bleeding heavily. His Okonchantel'noye Probuzhdeniye disappeared leaving Vert and Jason there.

Back at Eden, two blades collided as Diego and Hex smile at each other, "it seems you've gotten stronger," Hex says as Diego looks at him. "Yeah training."

The two push back as they stare at each other with a smile on their face
