A Green Day Love Story

Chapter 6

Green Day is in Arizona to do a show tonight and there at the venue soundchecking and Emma is in the dressing room playing with her belly as her daughter is moving around in there. Abby is watching soundcheck. "Billie you better have Good Riddance in the set" Mike tells Billie. "Yes I know Mike thanks for the reminder. We don't need a crankier Emma" Billie says with a big yawn. "Pass your nap time Gramps?" Tre says to Billie jokingly. "More like parent" Billie says wiping his eyes. "Tre if your trying to call me old then your calling you and Mike old too we're all the same age Tre." Billie pokes Tre's new little belly bump. "No touchies Billie" Tre says. "Good luck trying to hide this Tre." Tre kinda looks hurt but serious at the same time. "I'm a drummer" Tre just walks off hurt. "What's wrong with Tre?" Ava asks. "Tre has gained some weight and he's being sensitive about it. I'm worried about him he's not himself." "Maybe he's sick sweety" Abby adds. "You three need to lay off my husband" Mike points out. "Mike I'm just worried about Tre I don't want him to be overworked what if he's sick" Billie says worried about his best friend. "Mike do you know what's going on with Tre?" Billie asks. "Yes but I want Tre and I both to tell everyone together tonight before the show" Mike says.

A little later Mike is out walking around town with Tre. "Tre Billie and the girls are worried about you and are asking me questions but don't worry I didn't say anything. But your most definitely passed the point where you can hide this" Mike says. "I know I carry all my weight in my stomach" says Tre as he's looking at himself in the full mirror. "I told everyone we would tell them together before the show" Mike kisses his husband, "I love you." "I love you too Mike. How is all this gonna work with the band?" Tre asks. "I don't know sweety I guess we just take this dad by dad just like we are doing, Billie made it work" Mike adds. "We should get back I'm tried" Tre says. 

Later that night at the venue before the show Mike and Tre gets all the crew, Billie, Emma, Abby and Ava together to talk to everyone. Mike looks at everyone. "Hello" Tre says. Tre looks nervous. "I'm pregnant 4 months to be exacted" Tre and Mike smiles. The crew just goes back to work. "Why did you guys wait so long to tell us?" Billie says. "We didn't know what was going to happen or how everyone was going to react" Mike says. Billie just hugs his two best friends. "I'm so happy for the both of you" Billie adds smiling. "More cousins" Emma smiles. "Do you guys have a plan?" Billie asks. "Not yet we are just taking things day by day" Mike says. "But I do want to keep working as long as I can" Tre adds. "You sound like me when I was pregnant Tre" Billie mentions. Green Day goes out onstage with a jam packed set and Emma, Abby and Ava are watching the show from the wings of the stage. Billie just stops in the middle of Basket Case and Emma looks worried. Emma eyes are now fixed on her dad who is now talking to the crowd. "We just got some wonderful news tonight!" Billie shouts with a smile. "We two best friends Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool are expecting a baby in 5 months!" Billie adds. Tre looks pissed for the rest of the show.

After the show Billie, Mike and Tre back backstage with Emma, Abby and Ava. "Billie why did you tell the world I'm pregnant?" Tre says annoyed. "I'm just so happy for the both of you that I just didnt think I'm sorry" Billie says smiling. "Just don't say anything else about this alright" Tre says. "I got it Tre" Billie agrees. "Tre chill out sweetheart" Mike says clamming his husband. "Now everyone will be watching Mike and Tre more closely" Tre wines. "Just like when I was pregnant" Billie adds. "Does this mean that your moving out now that you and Tre are having a baby?, not that we want you guys too" Billie asks all worried. Emma hurries out of the room. "I don't know we never thought about it before it's something to think about" Tre says. Abby finds Emma in the hallway sitting on the ground just crying. "What's wrong Emma?" Abby asks. "Everything is changing" Emma says. "But we don't know that yet and if it does it will be a good thing sweety and if your scared of all this talk to everyone" Abby adds. Emma hugs Abby. "Your going though a lot of changes yourself and this is a lot all at once" Abby says as she's hugging Emma. "I love you Emma sweety." "Love you too Abby" Emma says. 

Later that night Emma is in bed asleep and Billie and Abby are talking alone. "Billie you really need to talk to Emma she's stressing over all the changes." "My heart is breaking for her lately" Billie says. "Emma is starting to open up to me here and there" Abby adds. "Emma likes having you and Ava here but mostly you Abby" Billie adds. "I love you Billie." "I love you too Abby." "I will talk to Emma" Billie says kissing Abby
