This is the year where the war really starts to kick of in Europe as Hitler conquers multiple countries in just a couple of months apart but we first start with the Scandinavian region or in particular Norway as the mountains and hills of the nordic region was filled to the brim with Iron and other precious metals and getting these would give a good amount of time to Germany to produce those tanks needed for huge wars like this one that was coming up very soon...

The Germans needed to take out Denmark first to secure the opening to the Baltic sea so then their paratroopers could do landings in Norway to secure key locations such as the iron mines and major cities. So Hitler began his invasion of Denmark but it was quickly over after the Danish government hastily surrendered 6 hours into it. Which infact is the quickest surrender of world war 2. After the fall of Denmark the luftwaffe began to fly paratroopers over Norway where they established key points near Oslo and the iron mines. Britain and France alarmed by this attack quickly send troops to stop the German advance into Norway as the Norwegian military mobilises for war where they were able to take out some of the paratroopers out of Oslo but by that time the luftwaffe had sent bombing aerial targets which destroyed both Norwegian and Allied supply chains.

The German land forces eventually arrived in Norway where they done Hitlers classic invasion style of Blitzkrieg encircling and overwhelm their enemies with speed. Soon many major Norwegian military divisions were caught in encirclements and seiges where they struggle to break free soon the remaining allies forces on Norway were retreated back to Britain where the British prime minister resigned out if embarrassment Chamberlain who left office later that day. The remaining Norwegian forces retreated northward where seeing no hope counter attacking they sued for peace later that week where the Norwegian government were sent in to exile where they continued to operate against Germany with the Allies toll the rest of the war into 1945. Hitler now knowing its Iron stocks full for plenty of tanks to be produced he began to prepare for the invasion of France.

Hitler seeing that France had an extremely strong border defence  known as the Maginot line Hitler would need to do the strategy of the Schleiffen plan like the Kaiser done in 1914 but once again the poor Belgium government would suffer in the crossfire against the two dominant powers but would try to remain neutral as possible. Hitler now have mastering a force 3,500,000 men with thousands of panzers to spare he just needed to confirm that the invasion would go ahead with no consequences further on but the French had only massed a force of 2,000,000 men with the extra 200,000 men coming from Britain. Hoping that Belgium would give an extra 250,000 men when they join in on the front.
The invasion began invading through the Netherlands and Belgium just after 8 days of fighting the Netherlands surrendered and Belgium continued to fight against Hitler but poor Luxembourg was overrun in 1 day.
Soon Hitler realises that theres a massive gap in the French line known as the Ardenne an area of hills and forested terrain because they thought that it was naturally impenetrable but Hitler took his chance and rammed through the Ardenne where the allies were caught off guard and were encircled and trapped in Northern France. After 18 days of fighting the Belgian army could no longer withstand the German war machine and surrendered leaving only Britain and France in the fight. The Allied forces are slowly squeezed into the port city of Dunkirk were the Allies tried to evacuate many British and French troops as possible in the end nearly 300,000 men were evacuated. The remaining troops were pushed into the sea and surrendered later on. France no only having its depleted forces left continued to fall back and Paris fell then troops in the Maginot line were encircled and captured. Eventually with Italy joining the fight France could no longer defend itself so the remainers of the French government surrendered leaving only Britain as the last Allied power in the war...

Hitler seeing his victory in France he decides that Britain must be defeated quick as possible so they could then get their front ready for the USSR. France was then split into two zones, a northern occupied section for protection in the Atlantic wall and a southern section as a puppet state known as Vichy France. Hitler now tries to gather naval superiority in the Channel the only thing protecting Britain from a mass ground invasion. However the German navy and the U-boats could not defeat the well supplied and trained Royal navy. So Hitler decided that Aerial superiority would decide the battle but once again the RAF was an incredibly strong force despite being smaller then the Luftwaffe they also had better technology such as radar and mapping.
But Hitler thought that weakening the British stance by bombing and destroying many key hangars of the RAF as possible so they could not defend the country from an invasion.

Many major cities including London were bombed heavily with emergency services working around the clock to save many lives but thousands died every day to the Luftwaffe bombings. Eventually Hitler believed that the British had been ruined enough that they were splitting apart but instead they were making Britain unite stronger together without knowing it.
Soon Hitler launched an entire aerial assault on Britain but the RAF had recovered very well from the bombing and sent their units out to defend. The new spitfire plane Britain had made was a complete sensational aircraft. That destroyed many Luftwaffe bombing planes and fighter aircraft.

Which ended the battle of Britain in a decisive victory for Britain as the new British prime minister Winston Churchill claimed full responsibility and the English channel placed in British superiority of Naval and Aerial power. Hitler now furious with the defeat operation Sealion would have to be postponed to a later date. Meanwhile in Central Europe Hitler had twisted the Hungarian government to join the Tripartite pact and ordered Romania to return Transylvania but the Romanian government compromised by giving Hungary a portion of Transylvania which was backed up by Hitler himself making Hungary happy.
