The Silence

We reached my house but I didn't want to go in yet so Lay walked me to the park nearby. We sat down on a bench side by side.

I tried to calm the situation though..

"So.. What are you gonna do tomorrow?" I asked.

"Don't talk about tomorrow. How can I live any longer knowing you're not mine anymore by tomorrow?" Lay asked. Yes, I can see him being totally broken hearted. I am too.

But both of us knows that we can never be together again. We sat in silence. Thinking of how to get rid of all those memories we've made together. How to face our life starting tomorrow. We do almost everything together. We even share the same friends.

Lay's P.O.V

I'm miserable. I can never go on if I'm like this. I wanted to be strong. And I'm sure that's what Eun Byul wants be to be. Suddenly everything was cut when she held my hand and cried.

I couldn't help but pull her into the tightest hug I can give. In that hug, there weren't any force but what we felt was need and love. I need her and I love her. So much.

"How are we gonna do this?" She asked.

I know, she's trying hard to prepare herself. Both of us are. I kissed the crown of her head and rubbed her back.

"I don't know.. I just don't know how.." I replied.

We stayed silent like that for a while. I checked my phone and there was a text from appa.

We know it's hard.. Take the time you need. See you tomorrow son..

I looked down to Eun Byul who was staring at the ring I bought for her 5 years ago.

"I hope you will stay strong.." I said. "I will.." She slightly nods.

"Let's get you back to your house.. I'll stay with you there.." She nods and we walked back to her house, holding hands.

"Xinggie.. I.. I don't mind if you want to go home.. You don't have to stay with me.." She said. I caressed her face and shook my head.

"Give me some time.." I said. She sighed and let me inside her house.

We got up to her room and without changing clothes or anything, we went to sleep. Well, she slept. I couldn't sleep at all. She was hugging me tightly and I was too. But I still felt as if there's a big gap between us. And it'll be bigger soon..
