Epilogue

* Ashtons POV*

"Happy anniversary" Lizzy mumbles in my ear when I wake up. I smile and want to kiss her but she turns around 'Ew Ash, morning breath" she sighs.

Today Lizzy and I are marrried for 15 years. We have an amazing marriage so far and I never thought I would have the chance to marry such a beautiful and sweet girl as Lizzy. Now I'm almost 37 I realize what an amazing life I have. In 2026 we decided to stop with 5 Seconds Of Summer, we all needed some quallity family time so this was the best for all of us. I'm still friends with Michael, Calum and Luke and I'm very happy with that. Calum is still with his beautiful Alana. They are married for 8 years and have twin girls named Ally and Amy, the two cuties are almost 6 now and they are just adorable.

With Michael and Luke happened something no one ever expected. Madison broke up with Michael because she didn't feel the same about their relationship anymore. Luke was after Amanda's cheating always a single man and enjoyed that. After a long night partying Calum and I found Michael and Luke hooking up in one of our hotelrooms. They admitted they had feelings for each other for a while now but they didn't want to tell us because they were scared of our reaction. Of course we accepted them, how could we not? They are married for 4 years now and adopted a cute little boy named Jeff.

Life's just perfect now and everyone is happy.

I get out of bed, going to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I change in some black skinnies and a grey t-shirt. Downstairs I hear Brandon and Mona yelling at each other, wow kids are great. Mona was born 10 months after our wedding, you could say our honeymoon was successfull if you get what I mean. We love our kids more than you could imagine but now they're 16 and 14 you can understand there is a lot more arguing in the house. I sigh and walk downstairs "Can you for once please stop yelling at each other? Today is our anniversary and uncle Luke, Michael and Calum are coming over." Brandon and Mona look up at me and instantly run over to me "Happy anniversary dad, I'm happy you're still together" Brandon says. I smile and ruffle his hair, which causes him to slap my hand away.

I walk to the kitchen and start making breakfast for everyone. I decide to make some eggs with bacon and some toast. I turn up the radio and I hear a very old song of ourselves on the radio. I almost tear up at the song, they probably play it because it's the 'old music' theme this week. I smile at that, old music, ha in our time it was not old at all.

Lizzy comes downstairs and steals a piece of bacon from the plate beside me. "Hey babe" I say as I quickly peck her lips. She smiles and walks towards the livingroom, probably to clean up some stuff before the other boys are coming.

The doorbell rings and I smile as Mona rushes to the door to open it. The girl is obsessed with the twins so she is always happy when she knows Calum is visiting. My smile grows even bigger as I see all the boys walking into our livingroom. I haven't seen them in a while and I really missed them. We had a grouphug and it felt like we were 17 again. I flick Luke against his forehead as he starts to reach for my bum, what he always does to annoy me. Luke just laughs and sits down at the couch.

We all sit and laugh with each other and talk about the good old times when they still were in the band. After a while Michael says "You know guys, I really want to play derpball, just like when we were teenagers." Everyone laughs and Lizzy asks "Why Michael, aren't you a little bit too old?"

"No,  I want to play it one more time before I'm getting really fat and old and the kids think we are some kind of joke. I won't act my age" Michael says while flipping Lizzy off with the lyrics of an old One Direction song.

"Too late" Brandon laughs. "Y'all are already old, fat you will be soon and we think you're a joke since we could walk"

"Well, isn't your kid the sweetest" Luke laughs and stands up to search for a big balloon. Calum follows Luke and I stand up to help them, Michael also follows me and we are with the four of us, looking for a big ball. Finally Calum yells "Yes guys look I found something" while walking towards us with a balloon. It's good enough and I kick some stuff what's in the garden to the side so we have more space.

We all play derpball just like 20 years ago. Team Mashton vs Team Cake. Lizzy films us while we play are we are just one giggling mess. And yes, we are manly, those giggles are the most manly giggles you will ever hear. We just have a great time and I hope this friendship with the boys will never end.
