The real reason why Gisela rescued Vespera from prison is because she loves Vespera, but didn't want to admit it.
Eventually she got Vespera to like her too. One night they were hidden away in a secret room in one of the Neverseen hideouts.
They sat next to each other, they scooted closer. They were so close, close enough to kiss.
Fintan decided to burst into the room just then, "WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE!?" he yelled.
"Why do you wanna know?" Vespera said with raised eyebrow.
"You gonna join us?" Gisela added.
"NO I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO!" Fintan stormed from the room. Casting Everblaze in his wake.
Alvar walked into the room a few hours later, "Uhm... I won't mention this to anyone."
"I'll make sure you don't," Vespera said, killing him instantly.
"You could have just had Gethen remove his memory," Gisela said while looking into her eyes.
"He would then know too."
"I don't care."
Sophie and her friends then blew them up.
