The train came to a stop after a few hours. Margaret hadn't noticed how quickly time had passed by. She really seemed to click with her new friends and they joked and laughed the entire trip.

Margaret also learned new thing about all of the boys.

Peter was a half-blood, his father was a wizard but died when he was younger. It was just him and his mom now, he showed a picture of her and he looked just like her, the chubby cheeks, blonde har and short stature, it only made her wonder what his father looked like.

Sirius was a pure-blood, obviously. However, he made it very clear that he viciously disagreed with his families ways, often leading him to arguments with them. He also had a younger brother who would be attending next year, but besides him that was it.

Finally, Remus. He only lived with his mother, and avoided talking about his father, Maggie didn't pester further and elbowed James when he tried bringing it up. Remus was an only child, and grew up outside of the city in a small house, it actually wasn't too far from the Potter's Manor, so she was quite surprised they had never met before. That was until he mentioned his mother was a muggle and raised him as one until he received his letter. This led Maggie to believe his father must have been a wizard, especially if his mother already knew about the wizarding world. She didn't question him further though.

As they collected their items and began to walk off the train, Maggie's eyes landed on a bright pair of blonde locks that stood taller than all of the other first years.

Her eyes lit up before shouting.

"Achilles!"

The blonde boy quickly turned his head, a split look of confusion across his delicate features before spotting where the voice was coming from. His furrowed expression quickly turned to a look of delight as he started running toward her.

"Mags!"

He opened his arms as she ran to him, landing in his arms and hugging him tightly.

"It's been so long Achilles, you got taller! How was France?"

The boy had gone to France for the summer, his parents sent him off and wanted him to learn more about magic to be prepared for the school year ahead. They didn't allow him to send or receive letters so they hadn't spoken since late spring.

James quickly noticed his sister had disappeared and noticed them talking a few feet away. He started walking toward them as the boys followed behind. Maggie didn't hear the footsteps behind her until she was abruptly pushed to the side as James forced his way through to Achilles.

"Hey man! How have you been? Maggie hasn't shut up about you since you left."

James smirked.

James had always pestered the two about being more than friends, constantly making jokes and exaggerated kissing sounds whenever she brought him up. However, both her and Achilles knew that they were best friends, and nothing more. Sure they loved each other, but in the way you love a sibling, completely platonic love. However, this was something that James could simply not wrap his head around.

"Oh I bet she hasn't, she sure did miss me then." He smiled wrapping an arm around her shoulder easily now due to his growth spurt. Maggie noticed the rest of the boys standing behind James, somewhat awkwardly.

"Oh! This is Achilles guys! He's our neighbor and my best friend. Achilles this is Sirius, Peter, and Remus." Maggie introduced them to each other hoping it would break the small tension in the air. As they each gave a small smile or wave.

"Well we should get going then! Don't want to miss our ride to the castle now do we." James stated before grabbing Maggie's hand and dragging her off toward the boats as everyone followed behind, quickly piling into the small wooden vehicle.

As they began to move, the sight of the castle slowly came into view. Silence spread throughout the students, everyone at a loss for words staring up at the beautiful palace that would be their home for the next seven years.
