SABRINA WALKED WITH FINNICK NEXT TO HER,STOPPING ABRUPTLY.

A large silver huppah with the words 'VICTORS VILLAGE' was in front of her. Sabrina took a step back, refusing the step foot onto the grounds.

"Sabby?"Finnick's voice brought her to reality. Sabrina looked up at him, only to see him holding out his hand.

"I can't."She shook her head, sighing."I'm sorry."She broke eye contact with him and hung her head low.

Finnick nodded in understanding and shared a look with Max that was stood on the other side of his sister.

"How about you pretened you're coming to visit Finnick?"Max asked suddenly, speaking up for the first time in an hour. Sabrina looked up,furrowing her brows."You don't have to go into our house right away. To get used to just being here as a victor, you can stay at Finnicks."

"That's a good idea, actually."Max sigjed when his sister answered."Do you mind?"

"Sweetheart,we've been in a relationship for almost five years."Finnicm shot her his usual grin making Sabrina roll her eyes."Of course I don't mind."

"Let's go then."Max told them with a small smile. He was the first one to walk into the Village and he spun around dramatically, flashing his arms for Sabrina to see."See?I'm fine!"

"Go to hell."Sabrina rolled her eyes at his dramatics and wrapped her arm around Finnick's back. She took a step and squeezed her boyfriend tightly with every step.

Soon, they were walking through the village until they reached Finnick's house. Finnick took out a key and opened the door, the three immidieatly walking in. Sabrina and Max stood in the doorway, waiting for Finnick to lock the door.

Finnick slowly took them through the halls and rooms of his small house, his hand on Sabrina's back.

"My room."Finnick said and then looked down at Sabrina who was busy looking around the room."Our room."He corrected himself and Sabrina smiled up at him.

Sabrina walked out of his hold and threw her bag on the floor before flopping down on Finnick's bed tiredly. Finnick smiled at the girl.

"You staying here with us,Max?"Sabrina asked as she sat up against Finnick's headboard, his pillow in her arms. Max shook his head at her and his sister's small smile was replaced by a frown."What? Why not?"

"I think I'll just go up to our house.Unpack my things and all that." Max paused and broke eye contact with Sabrina."I'll see you guys later."

Sabrina watched as Max left the room and frowned. She quickly got up and followed after him.

"Max!"Sabrina loudly said as she ran down the hall. Max stopped, flinching at her voice."Hey,whats up with you?"

"Nothing."

"Don't lie to me,Max." Sabrina scoffed, crossing her arms."I thought we were past lying to each other."

"We were."

"Were?"Sabrina slowly repeated, narrowing her eyes at him."What the hell does that mean?"

"Nothing."Max shook his head and was about to slip out of the house but Sabrina grabbed his arm tightly."Let go of me."

"No."Sabrina said with a glare deep inside her eyes."Not until you tell me what the hell is wrong with you."

"Nothing."Max loudly yelled, slipping from her tight hold. Sabrina stared at him and took a step back, raising her arms.

"I get it."Sabrina nodded in a quiet tone."Go."

"Bree-"

"Don't call me that."Sabrina snapped, taking another step back. Max sighed and took looked down. He flipped on his heel and turned around to unlock the door. He opened the door, pausing.

"The sister I loved died in that arena along with Gina and Maven." Max said before walking out, slamming the door behind himself.

"What?"Sabrina loudly yelled and reached forward, opening the door and walking out."What are you talking about?!"She yelled ,standing on the steps of the house."Max!"

Sabrina watched in shock and confusion as Max walked out of the village, not even glancing back at his confused younger sister.

Sabrina layed in Finnick's bed. Her head was on his lap and his hands held a blue rope he was tying knots on.

"I don't get him."Sabrina suddenly said, making Finnick's gaze dart from the rope to her."I mean,he doesn't really see me as the deadly nightshade, right? He can't."Sabrina shook her head in denial,a frown on her face.

"Do you remeber the last time you and Max were happy in a room for longer than  a minute?"Finnick asked Sabrina as he put the rope down, his hands now in her hair as he tried calming her down by drawing shapes in it.

"Before mama, papa and Anya died."Sabrina sighed sadly, closing her eyes."So he sees me as a reason our family is dead?"

Finnick stayed silent and that told her everything she needed to know.

"It's not your fault Snow had them killed,Sabrina." Finnick finally said once he saw tears roll down her cheeks. Finnick wiped them away and Sabrina opened up her eyes, looking up at him."Snow made you choose beetwen me and them. Either way, someone would be dead right now."

"But doesn't choosing you over them make me selfish?"

"I never want to hear that question leave your lips again,Sabrina."Finnick said with a stern expression."You didn't throw them on Snow's doorstep-Once Snow saw that you couldn't choose,he chose himself."

"But why does Max hate me,then?" Sabrina asked as she wiped away her tears.

"Because he can't look at you without seeing your father."

Sabrina knew Finnick was right. Her mother was a blonde with green eyes and Sabrina's father was the complete opposite-he had dark hair like Sabrina and the same brown eyes Sabrina had.

So,Sabrina slowly nodded and closed her eyes.

"Get some sleep."Finnick whispered, his hands still in her hair."I'll chase away the bad dreams for you."

And,in the first time in a month,Sabrina's eyes closed and peace consumed her.
