Stella's POV

The large baskalisk slithered out as I froze on the spot. Harry quickly climbed onto another ledge as we began to delay the beasts attack on Harry.

"HEY! OVER HERE!" I screamed as the beast turned its head. Grabbing a dagger I threw right below its throat but not going in deep. It was still aiming for Harry.

You have to Jump Stella. Jump over to Harry. I thought as I backed up. Taking a running startto the ledge a few feet where Harry was struggling. I barely grasped the cliff as I dangled dangerously my grip slipping by the minute.

"Stella!" Harry yelled lowering his hand. "grab on!"

I didn't have to think twice as I grabbed his hand and climbed up. The beast stooped over us ready to attack.

"PROTEGO!" I yelled as a shield came over us. "Help me! If we work together we can hold him off for a minute enough for us to think of a plan!"

Harry casted another spell as we held it. None of us could think of a plan.

What terrified me most was that the shield was breaking. Suddenly the shield broke as we went flying against the wall. I groaned in pain as I got up looking for Harry.

"Harry?" I whispered as I saw him laying unconscious.

No no no I can't lose anymore friends. I can't do it.

"Harry come on! No! You can't leave me! Wake up!" I sobbed. "Wake up!"

He groaned as I held my breath.

"How are we still alive?" He mumbled. I laughed tearfully as we heard a low growl behind us. I gently dragged him to a concealed spot.

"Your going out there?" Harry asked incredulously "after what we just went through?"

"I have to try." I whispered grabbing a rock throwing it in the other direction buying me some time. "Stay here." I whispered as I ran down the path.

Suddenly I came face to face with two Beady eyes as my breath hitched in my throat. I ran the opposite way as we made our way. To where the statue was. The beast began to corner me as my back finally touched the wall.

Please send help. Please. I have to live. For Rose. Just as the beasts mouth was going to open a Phoenix swooped down and took out its eye causing it to wail, not totally defeated but injured. I ran as my feet slipped landing face first in water. Suddenly a very old hat appeared in front of me. Quickly picking it up something clattered to the floor.

The sword of Gryfindor.

I found myself grabbing the hilt and facing the beast ready to eat its prey.

Your almost there.

Opening its mouth I stabbed it up on top of its mouth causing it to wail even harder until it was a great lump on the ground. Taking a few baskalisk fangs I went over to Harry who laughed glad to see me alive.

"You did it! " Harry grinned "you actually did it! I knew you could do it!" He winced as I looked at his leg. "I think it's broken."

"Hermione can fix it. I'm sure. " I smiled as I helped him up making our way back to the room of requirement.

Another day staying alive.
