TASH'S POV

I got to my hotel room and decided to make myself a cup of tea to calm my nerves. I had never seen Harry with such a strong look of anger and possibly even hatred on his face. It wasn't the fact that he had hit Ash that bothered me. It was the fact that he had reacted in such a way so quickly without even trying to understand what had happened. He hadn't stopped to think about Ash before hitting him. I had seen this behaviour in Romeo way too often. From what I had heard Harry and Ash were as close as brothers and he was the one that introduced Ash to Phoebe, so why wouldn't he even give Ash a chance to explain?

I knew it was weird that I wanted Ash's side to be heard considering the same thing had happened to me but Phoebe was truly happy with Ash so there had to be some sort of reason behind his actions.

I decided thinking about it over and over wouldn't help. When Harry was ready I would speak to him and clear the air.

I raked through my suitcase in hope to find an outfit. Tomorrow Karen and I would be heading back home for my brothers 24th birthday. He was 4 years older than me but we were so close that we were more like best friends than siblings. Growing up we did everything together, and had each other's back all the time. My friends were always complaining about their brothers and sisters and telling me about their arguments, but that was never the case with us two.

....

I laid a couple of outfits on the bed in hopes that it would make the decision easier for me. I hadn't seen my brother since I first left for tour as he was on a road trip with his friends. Now that he was home, I wanted everything for his birthday to be perfect.

I heard a knock on the door so I rushed from my suitcase and opened the door to find Harry on the other side.

"Peace offering?" He held up two coffees.

"Come in" I invited him in. I took one of the drinks from him despite the tea I had just had. I didn't want him to think I was being stubborn.

"I'm really sorry about before." He dipped his head down to meet my eyes, "I honestly don't know what I was thinking, it's just what he did to Phoebe was unacceptable"

"I get that Harry. Don't forget the same thing happened to me not too long ago, I just don't understand why you would react like that so quickly. Ash is your best friend."

He slid a hand through his hair and sighed. I could tell he was getting worked up quickly so I decided it would be best to explain my feelings before anything drastic happened.

I looked down at my fingers before confessing to Harry, "It reminded me of Romeo, all of it, the fighting and the swearing. Harry I don't want to stick around to find out you're the exact same guy. I've told you this before, that I don't plan to have my heart broken again but you didn't even stop to think about the consequence of your actions. What if the media had spotted it and you were all over the tabloids by tomorrow? What if someone reported you? I'm only thinking about you Harry" I kept my voice soft so he would know that I wasn't angry, I just felt concerned.

"Oh god, Tash I'm so sorry. You know I'm not like that usually I don't understand what happened to me. I would never hurt you or let you down like he did. You have to believe me" His eyes were wild with panic so I nodded to reassure him and let him continue, "When Phoebe told me what happened she was just so broken and I immediately wanted to confront him about it. I called him over and over but he didn't pick up so I decided I would go look for him. Then he showed up at the hospital acting as if he hadn't done anything. He just stood there pretending to care about her and I just lost it"

"Harry I'm sure he does care about her, no matter what happened. But how could you not listen to his side of the story, you didn't even tell him that you knew." I pressed for the answers.
