HARRY'S POV

We both took a seat on either side of the little table that was placed in the far corner of the room giving us a spectacular view of the city below us. I could feel the nerves creeping back.

"This view is amazing!" Tash exclaimed and pushed her fork into the battered fish.

"Yeah, so which part of England are you from?" I couldn't quite put finger on her accent.

"I'm from London originally but we moved to Manchester when I was six" She explained. No wonder her accent was so different, attractive, but different. I looked over to her plate, she had eaten all of her chips already. She wasn't kidding when she said she loved them, I felt much more glad that we had chosen to eat here instead of at the restaurant. It made me feel much more relaxed and helped me control my nerves.

Once we had both finished the food we decided to pick a movie to watch. The concert doors were opening at 6.30 so we still had a few hours to kill. We settled for The Hunger Games and both sat back on my bed. Conversation started to flow much more easily and our ice cream had been delivered. Halfway through the film Tash's phone vibrated, she tapped on the screen a couple of times then let out a deep sigh.

"Something wrong?" I questioned her.

"It's just a text from my boyfriend. He want me to call him." She answered me. All of sudden I started to get hot, I kinda hated the fact that she had a boyfriend. Why couldn't I ever like a girl or even date a girl without complications.

"You can call him if you want" I said, meaning the complete opposite.

"He can wait" She muttered. I couldn't help but feel pleased at her response no matter how selfish it seemed, but the topic of him had bought a frown to her face.

"So how long have you two been together?" I asked, even though I had promised myself I wouldn't bring their relationship up in a conversation.

"Two years" Her tone gave me the hint that it wasn't a very pleasant two years. Two years. I had to compete with someone she's been with for two years. I couldn't help but want to know more.

"Where did you guys meet?"

"At school but we got together when I was seventeen. He's a year older than me so he had a lot more experience but he was my first everything." She explained

"Do you guys live together then?" I know I was being nosy but she didn't seem to notice.

"No I'm still at home, he's tried to get me to move into his apartment but I've told not until he finds a proper direction in life. He doesn't go to Uni or have a job so his parents pay for everything but I know that he could do something much more than play video games and party. He doesn't see it but I only ever want the best for him and I know he could become something great if he just put his mind to it. If only he would understand that I love him and that me refusing to move in with him is me encouraging him to make that first step," She placed her ice cream bowl back on the sofa, "Sorry for going on. I tend to do that a lot"

"It's okay, just like I told you at the party, if you ever need to talk about anything then I'm here," I gave her a warm smile in hope to make her feel less guilty. Hearing her talk about him like that made the decision for me. Even though I had no intention of breaking the two of them up, there was so point in hoping that we would ever be anything more than friends. She made it pretty clear how much she loves him. I couldn't turn my feelings off for her just like that but I would have to try. I'd rather be close friends with her than upset her in any way.

My thoughts were interrupted by a a cold splash on my face. I lifted my hand to find a light brown liquid splattered on my cheek. Was this ice cream? Tash immediately burst into laughter and held a small spoon in her hand. I couldn't help but grin at her, no one had ever thrown ice cream at me and I appreciated her playfulness. There was no way I wanted to lose her as a friend.

"What was that for?" I faked my annoyance.

"Well you were daydreaming and your ice cream melted" She said between giggles and pointed to the bowl contacting a puddle of chocolate ice cream. I snatched the spoon from her small hand and filled it with the melted ice cream. She wouldn't get away with this. Tash screamed at me, begging me not to but the revenge was too good to let it go. I flicked the spoon, firing the desert into her blonde hair. She squealed and swatted my arm telling me how I had ruined her hair. I couldn't help but laugh at her, she was totally oblivious to how perfect she looked, even with ice cream in her. I was grateful to have her here, even just as a friend.
