"Husk, is everything okay?" Charlie asked me, seeing me absorbed in my thoughts
"I'm just tired, I have a lot of bottles to clean up after last night" - I said trying to be as natural as possible, no one had to know
"Of course, rather; what did you do last night?"
I'm petrified...why was she asking that? Had they seen us? Had they heard something?
"We...um...what should we have done...were we too loud? We woke you up?" - I ask panicking
"Um no, I just wanted to know if you and Angel had spent some time together, I'm very happy to see you closer, I think it's good for both of you" - she replied with her usual euphoric tone - "Trust is one of the pillars at the basis of my plan for redemption!"
"Oh yes, everything is normal between me and Angel, I think I can consider us friends"
Husk what the fuck are you talking about? Friends? Friends don't sleep together..fuck I hope the princess bought it.
"Amazing!!"- Charlie concluded before saying goodbye and going out to do some errands with Vaggie
And here I am, again, alone at the bar cleaning up the dozen drink glasses from the night before, well at least I'll keep busy and not think about everything else
"NIFTY STOP"
What the fuck...
"NIFTY PUT THE BLEACH DOWN" – I hear them shout in unison
A few seconds later I see Nifty quickly go down the stairs with various bottles of detergents in her hands, behind her Angel and Alastor were trying to stop her
"What are you doing?"- I ask
"Husker, my old friend, get your ass over here right now and make yourself useful."
"Okay, okay" - I leave my position and block Nifty who was running frantically in my direction
Alastor and Angel approach me, taking all those chemicals off her hands.I try to catch Angel's eye but he seems too busy tidying everything up, he heads towards the closet where we keep all the cleaning products, I just stare at him as I see him walk away.
"Okay Husker, I'll take care of it from here on thanks" - Alastor tells me as he takes Nifty from my arms and takes her with him - "Nifty you know you shouldn't cause trouble! Don't strain your twisted little mind for this nonsense" - he says to the little demon as he goes up the stairs
I decide to follow Angel, I join him in the closet where he was putting back all the things stolen by Nif earlier.
