Kathryn POV
First we had to convince the management of Montgomery Family Store that it was a necessity we had to go together. Gigi was hoping to come back after some days, or max a week to continue working in the super market, so we had to do it right so she would be welcomed back when she returns.
After bribing our supervisor with gifts, he convinced the management to let us go, citing our good behaviour and punctuality as good reasons to trust us.
Packing was really exhaustive for me because Gigi thinks I will be meeting my mate in Full Moon Pack. So there is no plan of coming back for me.
"Kate I want you to think about your future and not put up any drama back there when we arrive." Gigi preached.
"You know he rejected me. They rejected and maltreated me." I responded arranging the clothes I was putting into my traveling bag.
"I know that is why I am telling you. You can't blame them because if you are thinking of rejecting him when he comes for you, then you are simply showing that you would have done same if you were in his shoes."
"What are you saying? I am only reacting to their bullying not initiating it." I said with my hands akimbo looking at Gigi lying on the bed in her black top and shorts with her left hand under her chin.
"You know how rejecting a mate often leads to serious battle and pain both for the rejected and the person that rejected him." She said with a straight face as if lost in thought.
"I don't care. God knows I won't give myself cheaply to that fool. Do you want me to go running after him as if nothing has changed? No dear, I cant." I said chuckling.
I can almost imagine what will happen when Clifford sees my new look. Will he fall for me right away? Beg me to go on a date with him, accept him as my mate?
"You are smiling hatching an evil plan in your heart right?" Gigi said jerking me out of my thoughts.
"He has to beg really hard for me to accept him back." I said and went back to packing my things.
"The mate bond will determine that." Gigi said sitting up. "I heard that the mate bond is stronger than anything and can make you melt in the presence of your mate." She stated.
"Yeah I guess. Neither of us have experienced it so we can't say."
"Mrs Greg at the supermarket told me the mate bond once you meet your mate can only get stronger each time you make contact. And when you finally complete the mate bond by sleeping with each other, then it is till death do you part, you can't be free from it again."
"Yeah, and it prevents you mate from sleeping around too. Cos I will kill Clifford if he ever cheats on me." I said jerking my head as the words leave my mouth.
"Definitely the mate bond will not allow him see another wolf apart from you."
"Wait, is somebody longing to be mated to her mate here?" I said giving Gigi a sly look.
"Stop teasing me. You know I started working early because I am an orphan, hoping that my mate would find me before I am 18, but that didn't happen even after my 18th birthday 3 years ago." Gigi Lamented.
"I understand dear. Fate that destined you will bring you together. But you know it will be hard for you if you continue to live in this human world. Come and live with us in our pack, let other werewolves see you."
"I have heard you, but you and I know it isn't that easy." Gigi said looking at the fingers she is fiddling.
I went over to Kate her back. "Things will work out some how, just keep faith." I said and hug her.
"Okay... Okay. You better finish packing before the truck arrives." Gigi said breaking away. "Let me help you finish in time."
"That is what you should have done since rather than sit there and talk."
"I will go back if you don't learn how to be grateful you little waist." Gigi said tickling my waist.
"Thank you! Thank You!!" I scream out laughing.
2 hours later the truck arrived and we loaded our things into the truck. "I can't believe I am going back with so many things after staying here for just a year." I said placing my motorcycle on the back of the truck.
"You should have thought about that when you where shopping and enjoying it." Gigi responded. "We are done sir!" Shouted at the driver as if he was on the next street.
"Gigi," I called.
"What!" she answered.
"You are shouting. Did you even hear yourself when you said that?" I asked.
"Forget it." She said waving her hand. "Use the address we gave you. We are behind you in that other car." Gigi shouted pointing at my mother's car.
I haven't returned the car since mom said she doesn't need it and I can keep it.
The moving truck had already left with all our goods and I was getting into the driver seat of my mom's car.
"Are you ready?" I call out to Gigi.
"Yea" She jumped in and we where heading back to the Full Moon Pack.
