Part 22 Captured

Gigi POV

Not quiet long after we slept, a light knock on the door woke me up. I opened my eyes but didn't move thinking it might be a dream. When the knock was heard the second time, I turn to look at Clifford who was lying on his back, but I couldn't see his eyes so I raised myself up on my left arm to to see his eyes.

"Babe." He called turning his face to look at me.

"Someone's at the door." I said trying to think what someone could be doing at our door by this time of the night.

"Let me go check it out." Clifford said flinging the blanket off our bodies.

"I am not properly dressed." I said.

"Cover yourself with the blanket." He instructed. But my instincts did not allow me to lie on the bed while he go check the door. I quickly rolled off the bed and got a gown, a bra and some undies, I dash into the bathroom to put them on.

"Where is your mate?" I could hear someone asking Clifford in the bedroom.

"She was not feeling fine so she went home. My mate is not here, I am alone in this room!" Clifford shouted. I think he did that for me to hear as a sign to hide and not come out.

I could hear them checking the wardrobe and drawers.

"But her clothes are here. I think you are hiding her somewhere." The man said.

"She left this evening because she is not feeling fine. How could I have known that you are coming so I could hid her?"

"You don't know we are coming." the man stated. "But you intruded into our pack. Tie him up let's take him to Alpha Bernard."

"Ahhh..." A howled escaped my mouth as I cover my mouth with my hands to avoid being caught.

"I hear a sound." One of the men said.

"What voice? Inject him and take him away and stop wasting time."

I almost screamed again when I heard they want to inject him. I quickly mindlinked Clifford.

"Tell me where they are taking you. I will follow you."

"No, don't. go back to the pack and inform the pack to come and rescue me as quickly as you can. don't get ki..." Clifford cut the mindlink as he shouted, "Ahhh! What are you injecting into my body?" He asked them.

"This will keep you safe from your pack members so they won't locate where you are or mindlink you."

"What are they doing to our mate Lily?" I asked my wolf.

"They have injected wolfsbane into our mate." Lily responded. "We won't be able to mindlink them until the effect disappears from their system."

The bedroom was quiet so I assumed they have left. I slightly open the bathroom door and peeped out, I didn't see anyone so I poked out my head to get a full look of the empty room.

I tiptoed out of the room wondering what to do.

I remembered Kate and took my phone to call her. She didn't answer the call until after the fourth ring.

"Kate! I am dead Kate!" I cried.

"Gigi. What happened? Why are you crying? Where is Clifford?"

"Some men entered our hotel room and took Clifford away. They mentioned Alpha Bernard."

"Where are you now?"

"I was in the bathroom when they took him. He told them I was feeling sick and I have gone home. Right now I am alone in the hotel room."

"Lock the door." I sprang up from the bed where I was sitting, afraid they will capture me if they come back, I run to lock the door with Kate still speaking through the phone. "Stay in the room and don't go out until daylight. As soon as day break, start coming back to the pack. I will inform Clifford's parents and Beta Stanley who is standing in for Clifford here in Full Moon pack."

The mention of Clifford's parents sent cold shivers down my spine. I don't know what their reaction will be since I have led their son to be captured by unknown men,

"Thank you Kate. But I don't think I can sleep alone in this room. I am scared!" I cried checking everywhere to be sure none of the men is in the room.

"Calm down, as long as your door is locked, nobody can enter that room unless you open the door to let them in. So sleep so will be able to come here without falling sick from worry and stress."

"Thank you Kate. I wish you were here."

"I am just beep away. I will keep my phone on so you can update me in case anything comes up. Meanwhile, mindlink Clifford to know where he is."

"The mindlink is not working. Lily said they injected him with wolfsbane, so we can't communicate with him until the effect wears out."

"Okay, keep your senses active in case he tries reaching out to you."

"Thank you Kate."

"See you tomorrow Gigi."

"Bye."

As I ended the call, I heard a sound at the window that jolted me to my feet. Before I knew it, I was standing on top of the bed.

"Who is there?" I asked. But there was no answer. After waiting for a while without noticing any movement, I moved closer to the window and notice that is slightly open. I quickly closed it.

I argued with the thought of turning off the lights in the room or not. After looking around the room, checking the bathroom and toilet, the wardrobes and under the bed, when I didn't see anybody, I decided it is safe to off the light and lay down on the bed to avoid anyone outside from seeing inside the room.

A/N

Things are beginning to get really hot. the story is going to shift back to Kate Fully.

You have noticed that Alpha Stone's name has been changed to Alpha Bernard. Sorry for changing the name, it was necessary for the flow of the story.
