MORGAN

"Morgan!" Journey yelled as she looked at me in shock.

Disbelief and disappointment was written all over her face.

"What?" I asked as my heart began to beat fast as I sat on the toilet looking up at her.

"You're pregnant! It says positive! Look!" Journey said as she looked down at the pregnancy test and flipped it over so I could see.

"No! This can't be! Let me take another one because that has to be wrong!" I yelled refusing to look her way or near the test.

I was hoping there was a mistake with the test.

I couldn't afford to be pregnant.

"No, I always use these, they're pretty accurate." Journey replied.

"No! No! No!" I screamed because reality began to set in.

I had really fucked up this time.

I balled up on the bathroom floor and began to cry.

I could not believe that I had ruined my life with a baby.

Of course babies were and are a blessing but I was much too young for that.

What would my family think when they found out?

My grandma would probably kick me out the house as soon as she found out.

We didn't even have enough funds to provide for another kid.

I didn't have anything going for myself and this would mean that I had to dedicate my life to the baby.

I wouldn't have time to have fun or hang out as much anymore I'd just be someone's baby momma.

What was I gonna do about school? College? I wouldn't have enough time to focus on it.

I began to regret everything that I had done.

I missed the old me and I wished that I'd listened to Journey when she'd told me to wait to lose my virginity.

This was too much for me, I was devastated and didn't know what to do.

I was only 18.

A YEAR AND A HALF BEFORE

"Bye grandma, I gotta hurry and walk to the bus stop, wouldn't wanna miss it!" I yelled as I ran down the stairs and towards the front door.

Me and my grandma had a pretty close relationship, although she was really strict and didn't let me go out that much, I totally understood where sbe was coming from because of what she had to deal with before with my cousin, Journey.

Journey was the complete opposite of me.

She was a couple years older and had dropped out of high-school two years ago as a senior.

Journey was outspoken and was very fast when it came to guys, she was always around a new dude, or in some drama with a female about one.

She used to live with us a couple years back , but grandma kicked her out when she started hanging around the wrong crowd and got knocked up.
