"And last year, the seniors pranked the all the teachers by placing farting pillows on their chairs on their last day. It was hilarious! I wish you would have been there to see it."

We broke in laughter for the hundredth time as we slowly approached our turn in the cafeteria.

"It really does sound hilarious!" I continued laughing, the tray almost falling out of my hands.

"Why didn't you move here sooner?" My new friend asked me.

"Well, actually I was born in this town. My parents wanted to move out when I was five. I barely remember anything about here."

"We should really go out together then. I could show you around!" She smiled.

"Really? Thanks, Imani."

It was almost the end of the school day. Imani and I had become great friends. In our first break we had discovered we actually have a lot in common. We both like the colour purple, love amusement parks and pop music, and we both love salted caramel flavoured ice cream.

When this day was starting I knew I wouldn't make any friends but then again here I am with a friend by my side.

We got our food and turned around to find a table in the full cafeteria.

"I usually eat while sitting on top of a toilet seat but I imagine you don't want to do that." She said.

"Actually that sounds perfect."

I was used to eating like this. At every place we moved to I didn't really make friends on the contrary with my brother who was usually one of the popular kids as he belonged to the basketball team. I ate with him and his friends every day.

But, during his last year of high school he found himself a girlfriend who really hated me. I didn't want to sit with them in the cafeteria so during lunch breaks I found comfort in eating in the girl's bathroom.

We found an empty stall and both got inside.

"Are you sure the both of us can fit in here and actually eat?"

"Nope."

"I'll get in this one." She motioned to the one next to me.

"How is your first day so far?"

"It's alright. I'm glad I met you otherwise I'd be stuck in this bathroom stall in every break."

"Same." She chuckled.

"Do you have a seventh period?" I asked before shoving a piece of bread in my mouth.

"Yeah, wait you don't?

"Nope. Please tell me we at least have the same subject now."

"Well what do you have?"

"History."

"With Ms Carissa?" She asked, her voice echoing in the room.

"Yeah...is that a bad thing? Do you have the same?"

"I've got PE but for you let's just say that lesson is going to be interesting." She let out a laugh.

I didn't get to respond before we heard the door open. Both of us moved quickly to stand in the toilet seat.
