Vesper sprinted across the grass, his feet barely touching the ground for longer than a second. His father lay screaming on the floor, alone. He had never seen one father without the other. Where Shawn was, Niall was always two steps behind him.

"Dad!" he yelled, falling to his side, trying to stop him from rolling around in pain. "What happened? Where's the tear?"

"Lucifer closed it," Em said, distracted by holding Kylo's head up who took a nasty fall against one of the shattered chandeliers.

"Your dad is trapped in our world. We can't get home." Em stopped to see his reaction then regretted it.

Vesper shut his eyes in anguish. The young angel couldn't hide his worry as it stuffed his heart into space too small for a heart so big.

Vesper held his dad and rocked him, trying not to panic, trying to think rationally but only focusing on the fact that his parents can't survive the separation.

"We need to do something!" he cried as Alexis  and Shawn's parents rushed to their side.

"There's nothing-" Em turned when Kylo's eyes moved to something in the distance. They saw a huge white wolf with silver markings, a smaller white wolf with identical purple markings, and a black wolf with Harry riding on it's back galloping towards them.

"I'm hallucinating," Kylo mumbled, dropping his head against his vampire's shoulder and collapsing against him, getting weaker and weaker by the second.

"Shh, save your energy," Em mumbled, lowering his already deep voice to seem smoother. His chocolate eyes followed a sight he never thought he'd see. Electricity crackled from the leading wolf's paws with each stride.

Bolts wrapped up its legs like snakes on a pole, sounding like someone crunched wrappers every time a claw buried itself into the grass.

Liam's wolf jumped over their heads, and in mid-air, he changed to his human form, skidding to a halt with one knee and one hand on the floor. He glanced around, assessing the chaos.

"Where did the tear go?" he asked, getting a rushed explanation from Castor the angel.

Then, his eyes fell on Shawn, and his emotions melted right through him. He has never heard such a heartfelt cry of sorrow or seen so much pain flowing from a stretched bond. Shawn's bond wasn't just extended, it was clinging on by a strand thinner than a spiders web. Any sudden movement would break it and kill the human and the angel in an instant.

Liam knew they were needed for the war, that's why the angels made their bond so strong in the first place.

"I have to do something, " he thought to Zayn.

Eirene and Ares had rushed out to see what was going on, and Zayn felt incredibly uncomfortable.

"There's not much you can do. We have nothing that can open a tear."

"You're a God Liam. If you can close tears, you can open them" Louis thought and saw an expression of appreciation from Zayn.

If Liam needed his confidence boosted, now was the best time to do it.

"He's right; you're strong enough Li."

Niall leaked blood from his mouth when a demon dug an arrow into his chest, slow enough for the angel to feel and hear the crack of his ribs.

"Shawn," he whimpered, choking on the metallic taste like his mouth was full of coins.
