Chapter Seven: His Strength is Growing

Beni is running through the tunnel. He could hear sounds in the walls but kept running till he was thrown across the corridor.
He looks up to see a living mummy towards him and starts to pray.

"May the good Lord protect and watch over me as a Shepherd watches over his flock....No. Okay."

He started going through different prayers when he remembered Regina's advice and pulled the symbol. He started to pray when the mummy stopped.

"The language of the slaves...I may have use for you and the rewards... will be great."

Beni looked at he jewels and smiled, thanking every god for Regina advice.

"My Prince."

"Where are the other sacred jars......were they are my reincarnated wife and sacrifice should be.

Beni informed him and hoped that his new Prince would not hurt Regina.

FORT BRYDON - CAIRO

I sat on Evy bed watching them argue, and I could not help but smile at the free show.

"I thought you said you didn't believe in that fairy tales and hokum stuff."

"Having an encounter with a 3,000-year-old walking, talking corpse does tend to convert one. Now i know Nia was not fibbing."

"Forget it. We're out the door, down the hall, and we're gone."

"Oh, no, we are not."

"Oh, yes, we are."

"Oh, no, we are not. We woke him up, and we were going to stop him."

It was like watching a tennis match back and forth, making me smile at the sight.

"We? What we? We didn't read that book, I told you not to play around with that thing. Didn't I tell you?"

"Yes, right then, me, me, me, me. I, I, I woke him up, and I intend to stop him."

"Yeah? How?You heard the man. No mortal w*apon can k*ll this guy."

"Then we are just going to have to find some immortal ones."

They are fighting while Rick is trying to pack and Evy unpacking. I could see he really feared for Evy's safety, and she could not see it.

"There goes that we again."

"Look, will you listen to me? We have to do something, Once this creature has been reborn, his curse is going to spread until the whole of the Earth is destroyed."

"Yeah? Is that my problem?"

"It is everybody's problem."

I sighed a little and decided to leave the room, letting them argue while I started to hum to an Egyptian lullaby.
I was walking, seeing Beni walking with a figure and walking over to him.

"Beni"

I said when he turned and brightened when seeing me, and the figure stood straighter.

"I am so glad you are well. Who is this with you."

"This is Prince Imhotep. He has come to see Mr Burns to offer a blessing."

I looked at Beni with an incredulous look before looking at the masked Imhotep.

"I wish you well then Prince Imhotep."

I said with a smile at them both before humming again and walking towards the fountain.
What I did not notice was Imhotep following my every move with longing and determination to consummate the curse.
