AS THE BLUE AND WHITE carriage pulled through the portal, the Diaz family gathered eagerly to watch. A trail of sparkles followed the carriage, dazzling to the on lookers but familiar to the family on the porch.

"Who is here?" asked Mr. Diaz, a confused look on his face.

"My sister."

A horn blasting through the air startled the four, turning their attention to the carriage. Manfred, the royal family servant, pulled open the door to reveal Soleil Butterfly herself.

"Princess Soleil Butterfly," Manfred announced, stepping back from the carriage and allowing Soleil to step forward.

The princess stepped out gracefully, her light blue dress sparkling in the sunlight. Soleil was beautiful, with golden hair flowing down her back in loose curls, soft features, and a glow that seemed to wrap around her. She bore a striking resemblance to her older sister, the Butterfly genes were strong.

However, the way she held herself is what set her apart from her Star. The younger Butterfly walked slowly with her head held high and her shoulders back. A true princess walk. There was an air of confidence about her, so much so that it could be mistaken as arrogance.

Soleil breathed in a deep breath, letting the fresh air fill her lungs. The air was different from Mewni already. She plastered a dazzling smile on her face, walking forward to greet the people she would be staying with.

"Star!" Soleil shouted, forgetting her princess act for a second and speeding up to a jog to get to her sister.

The two princesses had always had a rocky relationship. Soleil knew it stemmed from the fact that, despite being the younger sister, she was due to inherit the throne instead of Star.

Her parents had sat them down to break the news when Stars behavior really took a turn for the worse, right before they shipped Soleil off to the Princess Academy. No matter how much Star tried to deny it, the younger Butterfly knew just how hard it was for her sister to accept that fact.

"Hi Soleil," Star responded, a little less enthusiastic. The sisters greeted with a short hug, broken by Star first.

As the younger sister pulled away, she straightened back up into her perfect princess stance to greet the Diaz's. A polite smile donned her face, turning to address Mr. and Mrs. Diaz first.

"Hello," the princess gave a small curtsy, "My name is Soleil Butterfly. You must be Mr. and Mrs. Diaz. Thank you for letting me and my sister stay here while we figure this out."

The parents looked at each other, deciding that it was too late to send her away, "It's nice to meet you dear," Mrs. Diaz spoke first.

"Yes we are happy to have you!" Mr. Diaz exclaimed, pulling Soleil into a tight embrace.

The girl bounced back in shock once she was let go, reaching up to fix her hair but still smiling nonetheless. Finally, she turned to Marco.

"And I presume that you are Marco," she stated more than asked.

"Yes it's nice to meet you, uh, princess," Marco responded, bowing awkwardly at her.

Soleil let out a very regal giggle at his gesture. Marco just gave her a crooked smile, a little embarrassed by the action.

"Why don't we go inside and get to know each other? Do you like tea?" Mrs. Diaz asked.

"Yes I would love some tea Mrs. Diaz, thank you. Green or jasmine please," Soleil responded. Her voice rung like church bells, a pleasing melody even in a simple sentence.
