Monologue
Character: Husband
Emotion: blunt, calm, nonchalant, hurt
Situation: In marriage counseling
And see. That's where Ima stop you at. Right there. I love you, Teresa. I do all I can for you. But some stuff you just gotta work on yourself. This whole time throughout the past 4 weeks I've sat here and listened to you try to argue and digress. This whole time I been sitting listening to you tell this woman shit about you that I as your husband didn't even know. All I wanted was for you to get the help you needed so we can move past this 'cause I know you struggling. But you will not disrespect me, Teresa. No more! If you think I'm finna stay with you while you act like this, you're delusional. Now, your last husband wouldn't have tolerated it. He would've put your ass in a hospital before y'all could've ever made it to counseling. I love you, but I think you should get one-on-one help. As for me, fuck therapy!
