Arif's POV

I opened the door to my office and found my dear friend Sebastian Miller sitting there as if it belonged to him. He recognized my arrival when he looked up from his phone at me and smiled from ear to ear.

I rolled my eyes at him and took my seat opposite him.

"You're angry at me." It was not a question, "Because I did not attend your wedding ceremony." He pouted like a child and I rolled my eyes at him again.

"Why are you here, Seb?" I asked, opening a file on my desk.

"I'm sorry Ar! I was just out of the country and it happened so quickly I couldn't make it." he explained. While I just sighed and looked at him who was still pouting.

"I never said I was angry at you so please stop apologizing, and please don't pout again, it makes me want to puke." He glared at me but stopped anyway.

"So how's married life treating you?" he asked, placing his hands on the table in front of us.

"It hasn't even been 48 hours, Seb," I said, looking at the clock in front of me.

"But you only need 10 minutes to fall in love, right?" he asked and I clenched my jaw.

Fell in love with that girl?

Never.

"Why are you here again?" I tried not to show my irritation.

If I show him that I'm really irritated he'll irritate me even more.

"I found something intersting" He said I looked at him with hope.

did he found something related to Snow? He was the best may be he found her or maybe her addr--

"Your Lawyer Mr.Parker called me on your wedding day." He spoke to only to shatter my hope.

Ofcourse he never had any good news about Snow. Sometimes I thought that he can't find anything on her or he don't want to find her.

"Your phone was switched off that day."

Mom Did

"He talked to me about the papers you asked him to make." He finished and I looked at him with a bored expression.

"So what?" I asked

"Why do you need a contract papers?" he glared at me, "Your marriage is arranged Arif, not contracted."

"You have to accept the fact that you are married now and you can't go back. You have to survive this marriage."

"I can't, I just can't do it right, I can't keep this marriage?" I glared back at him, "It would be better if we finish this after mom is fully recovered."

"What are you going to say to Kenziah?" he asked, "For your information, she doesn't like lies."

"I am not afraid of her nor do I want her to like me." I was getting angry now.

Of course I don't want her to like me.

Really?

Really.

"I'll tell her that if I'm not ready after 9 months, we'll get a divorce. That's all."

"So you won't tell her the real reason?" He had so many questions.

"And what's the real reason?" I breathed.

"About Snow, Arif?" He raised his voice. If he weren't my best friend I would throw him out of this building.

"Then she'll leave me before mom gets well." I said.

"You're afraid she'll leave you because of your lies, right?" The bastard smiled.
