Evie's Pov

I was sleeping peacefully in my bed thinking about Carlos, his white luxurious hair, his hands touching me everywhere, man I'm in love with that boy. I then felt someone touching and yelling at me.

"Eves, WAKE UP!" I heard a voice say

I fell out of the bed and saw Mal laughing. I got up and hit her and she hissed at me.

"Ow." She said

"Why did you wake me up, Mal!" I asked and she rolled her eyes

"We have school. Remember." She said

I went in the shower and heard Mal singing. I laughed and came out of the shower. I got out and saw Mal fully dressed, waiting on me. I put on my clothes and makeup.

We left our dorm and walked in the hallway. Mal went to her locker and I followed her.

"So, how's it been going." I asked her

"With what?" She said

"Jay and Ben." I said and she sighed

"Well I'm getting closer to them both but I still have no idea what to do." She said

"Take your mind off them for a while. They have a match today and we have cheerleading. I've been working on some moves for us all." I said squealing, she shrugged

"You're the captain." She said and closed her locker

We were walking to class but saw Ben and Doug. We both sighed and stared at each other awkwardly. We didn't know what to say to each other. Thankfully, we saw Jay and Carlos walking towards us.

"Hey babe, hey Mal." Carlos said and kissed my cheek

"Hey." I said and smiled

Doug and Ben walked away and Me and Mal sighed. Carlos and Jay looked at us confused.

"It's just so awkward now." I explained to them. Mal nodded

"Well we have class now, so lets go." Carlos said

I grabbed his hand and intertwined his with mine and walked to class.

*At the match*

Me, Mal and Jay were heading to the field for the tourney match today. I worriedly looked for Carlos. Me and Mal went to the sidelines and Jay went to the field. I then looked at the bleachers and saw Carlos. He looked me and smiled. I sighed in relief and he ran up to me.

"Hey princess. You seem happy to see me." He said

"Well I thought you weren't gonna show." I said and hugged him

"Anything for you." He said

We pulled away and I kissed his cheek.

"Hey Carlos, I want you to sit with me on the bench." I heard coach said

"But coach-" He said

"Don't worry you don't have to do anything, just wanna talk to you." He cut him off

The match started and Carlos sat with coach on the bench. I looked at him and he looked angry and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I couldn't help him neither could Mal nor Jay. We did our cheer and we all sat down. I looked at Carlos again and saw him talking to coach. The team was losing and Jay and Ben seemed to be at each other's neck. I looked at Mal and she sighed.

It was half-time and all the players sat on the bench. Coach went through some tactics and I walked over to Carlos.

"Hey, you ok?" I asked caressing his cheek.

"Yeah but it's just so hard." He said looking down

I lifted up his chin and he looked me in the eyes.

"You're gonna be fine. You'll be able to play again soon ok." I said and he nodded

I kissed him and he kissed me back. He wrapped his arm around my waist. We pulled away and he smiled. In the corner of my eye, I saw Jane angry. Soon half-time was up and the players went back the on the field. The cheerleaders did our cheer again and sat down.

The game was rough and we were losing mostly because our star players, Jay and Ben were distracted playing against themselves. The other team tackled Chad hard with his shield and Chad fell down holding his leg. He left the field in pain.

Carlos Pov

I saw Chad get plumped to the ground and immediately, I got flashbacks about my injury. I closed my eyes and tried to stop thinking about it but couldn't. It was like I could feel the pain of my leg all over again. I shaked my head to try and stop thinking but it came back flowing through my brain and like the ocean it kept going and going. I couldn't take it anymore. I got up and walked off the sideways breathing rapidly.

"Carlos! Carlos!"

I heard coach call out but I didn't look back. I couldn't.

Evie's Pov

I heard coach calling out Carlos' name so I looked and saw that he was gone. I got up and ran after him. Mal and Audrey followed me. On our way to find Carlos, we saw Chad and Jane once again kissing! This time Audrey saw, cried and ran away, but Chad and Jane didn't hear her. Mal went back running after Audrey. I ran to the lake but he wasn't there so I ran to the tree house.

Jay's Pov

I saw Carlos leave and I wanted to run after him but Ben held my hand.

"Don't." He said and I scoffed

"Don't tell me what to do. He's my friend, my BEST FRIEND." I said

"I don't care. I'm not losing cause of you." He said

"We're already losing genius and it's your fault." I said and pushed him off me.

He pushed me back and I tackled him to the ground punching him. Someone took me off him and the ref sent us off. Mal ran up to the two of us.

"What were you guys thinking. We're going to lose for sure now. I know you guys have beef or whatever but you guys need to man up and stop being so childish!!" She said running off.

Will Evie find Carlos, will Mal find Audrey and will Audrey break up with Chad. There's some special news for Carlos as well, what is it? Find out in the next chapter.
