- EMILY'S POV -

„Open your eyes" I open my eyes and as they adjust to the darkness, I see what he did for me. He layed down a blanket on the beach and decorated it with candles, flowers and some of my favourite snacks. I can't it's just too cute. „Uhm...do you like it?" „Do I like it? I love it!" I hug him around the neck and kiss him. We sat down and ate the snacks while he played some music. I lean against his chest.

„Emily. You know that I love you. It's just that you haven't said it back... Do you love me?" I turn to him „Charles. I love you. I love you so much, I can barely even think straight when I'm with you, and I think I've never really stopped loving you." „To the moon and back?" „To the moon and back." I kiss him while he starts pulling me onto his lap and keeps his hands on my hips as I kiss him more passionate.

We made out for quite a bit of time, till his phone rang. I swear to god I will make sure we keep our phones on silent all the time. He chuckles as he reaches for his phone, picking up. „Hello?" „Bonjour Charles, I know it's early but-" „Wait...Louis? Mate I haven't heard from you in ages." „Yeah, I've been quite busy." „Tell me, how are you?" „Good and you?" „Yeah fine, thanks. So, why did you call?" „I wanted to ask you if everything's fine with Emily. I heard what was going with you both on social media, but I had really important things to do..." „Hey mate, it's totally fine." „Yeah everything's fine haha" „Oh hello Emily. We haven't met yet, have we?" „No, but it's a pleasure to meet you. Tell me, are you french? You sound just like the Leclercs." „Monegasque, actually." „Ohhh nice" „Sorry to interrupt your bonding, but we have more important things to do now. Sorry Louis but-" „Ohh more important things, yeah I get it." I couldn't see his face, but I heard in his voice that he was smirking „Boy, not like that. We're on a date." „Oh sorry, didn't mean to interrupt you, Bye then" „Bye Louis" He hung up.

„He seems nice" „Yeah, let's go for a walk" We walked at the beach till the sun slowly rises over the horizon, colouring the water in a yellow-orange. „Emily, I have to ask you something very important." „Oh sure, what is it?" He stops and looks me in the eyes, his emerald eyes glimmering under the sunrise. „I love you. I loved you when we were just little kids, when we were 14, I still love you now. I never stopped loving you, the only reason I stopped were my parents telling me bad things about your family, and you hating me. I hated you too at one point, but deep down, I always loved you, mio cuore. And you are the only girl I want, and really ever wanted. So I will ask you, do you want to be my girlfriend? And not only in private, I want to show the whole world, that you're mine." I felt tears building as I listened to his beautiful words. „Yes I do, I want to be with you my prince." He smiled like a little kid that just got new toys as he lifted me up and spun me around.

„Oh and one more thing." He reached for the pocket of his jacket and pulled out a little red box, giving it to me. I opened it, and inside was a bracelet and a necklace. I pull out the necklace first, on the charm is a silver heart with a thin cross engraved in it. I noticed a line, so I tried to open the heart, and it opened on the side. Inside was a picture of me and my family, including my mom...more tears roll down my cheek and he brushes them softly away with his thumb. I take a look at the bracelet, the fitting piece to the necklace. One of the charms on it is the same heart as the one on the necklace, this one is just smaller and you can't open it. There are also the letters C, D, L, C, A, C, L, E on little heart shaped plates for the people in my life that are the most important to me. On the back of the little charms are also the drivers numbers, only from the drivers of course. He knows me too well...

I hug Charles so tightly, I'm not sure, if he can breathe properly. He turned me around and brushed my hair away, helping me to put the necklace, and after it the bracelet on. We stayed on the beach till I got hungry and we packed the stuff up to go to a bakery, where we ordered some croissants and some more things, then sat down. It was quiet and we talked a bit, but then I spotted a journalist outside, that looked quite similar...Jacob?

When Charles went to the bathroom, Jacob reappeared. „Emily, what a pleasure to meet you again!" „Only for you." „Tell me, who are you with?" „I am not here for an interview so get lost."  „Don't be so rude."  „Uhm- did you had a car crash or something? Cause your face looks pretty beaten up."  „Oh I can add some more of those bruises if you won't leave her alone, faccia di culo."
