„Charles wake up" I was still half asleep as Emily shaked my shoulder. „What-" „Wake up, idiot" „I am awake calm down..." My head hurts so much... Where am I anyways? Oh right... I went with Emily to her house and then- „Charles Elia King. Get your fucking ass out of the bed."
„What have I done now?" I asked while rubbing my eyes and slowly sitting up. „You promised last night you'd take me out to breakfast." „I know...How late is it" „Six thirty." „So early..." She walked to her closet and opened it. I stood up and walked to her, hug her from behind and bury my face into her neck. „You left some of your clothes here, take them." „Mhm"
As we were dressed up, I drove her to one of my favourite places to get breakfast and we ate there.
„Charles..." I look up from my food to see her looking at her phone in slight shock. „What is it?" „Here..."

„Who took this picture?" „Probably Delissa" „But why are you looking so shocked then?" „I- After I got out of the hospital after this crash, I haven't even looked who saved me, I don't remember much from this race..." „Well after they took you away, you were flown away from helicopters so I drove my car back and as they resumed the race, I started at the back but- wait you don't even know how the race went? It was all over the news..." „No.. I was with Delissa the whole time and she wanted to tell me, but I didn't want to hear it. I haven't been out much lately... I just knew Lando was in third place, not more..." „Do you know who won?"
She chuckled „Probably Max. But I heard your race debut was amazing, so which place did you get?"
„Emily...Max did not win that race." „Who else? I mea- wait..." „I won the race. For you..." She just stared at me in shock, not knowing what to say. „Oh my god... Charles I'm so sorry that I didn't reach out-" I gently grab her hand and take it in mine.
„You don't have to apologize, I should've told you earlier..." „Let's just focus on what is happening now, okay?" „Okay." „I'm so happy that you won that gp" „I did it for you mi amore"
As soon as we got back, my phone pinged and I got a message from a groupchat.
