Wisteria
Music echoed throughout the auditorium as the star moved fluidly in the air. Her body twisted around the metal hoop flawlessly. Sweat beaded on her forhead as she practiced.
Hells princess had asked her if she could do an aerial dance with her performance a few days ago. Which led to the moth spending most of her hours suspended in the air as she came up with a routine. Alastor sat in the back row of the empty seats, watching as the star danced.
It had been a week since the incident at dinner. Wisteria had long convinced herself she imagined the whole thing. The stag hadn't said anything to her, or given her any indication of knowing something he shouldn't.
The moth was relieved when everything continued as normal. There was no awkwardness between her and the radio demon, and she was grateful. She enjoyed spending time with the stag, and was thankful they could get to know each other now after their time on earth was cut short. Her respect for the radio host only continued to grow.
She always admired him when they were alive. That feeling seemed to grow with each second they spent together. She enjoyed his company, even if they were sitting in silence.
Her amber eyes met Alastor's as she hung upside down. His wide smile was a closed mouth grin as he winked at the the star. A light blush dusted her cheeks and she gave him a small wave. Wisteria had been so caught up in her routine, she had forgotten the stag was watching her.
Quiet settled over the auditorium as the song came to an end. The moth pulled herself into a sitting position on the hoop, pressing her side against the cool metal. Her muscles ached in a welcoming way.
Wisteria flew down to the stage floor, needing a small break. She went back stage and grabbed her red hankerchief, using it to clear the sweat from her face. She closed her eyes as she ran the soft material across her forehead.
"You kept it." The radio filtered voice made her jump. She turned to the stag, confused.
"The cloth. I gave that to you the day we met, my dear." He chuckled, his smile was soft and reminiscent. "Don't you remember?"
"I remember," The star gave him a toothy smile. "You were my knight in shining armor." She joked with a small giggle.
"I suppose I was. That was quite a lovely day." Alastor leaned against his staff, his eyes locked with the moths.
"A lovely day indeed." Wisteria agreed, instinctively hugging the cloth to her chest.
A comfortable silence fell between the two demons. Neither one wanted to break eye contact, lost in the others gaze. They both held a fondness for each other. The emotion sprouting from the deep rooted respect and admiration.
Minutes ticked by as the pair continued to hold their stares. The moth and stag both lost in thought. They were in little worlds of their own, but they still enjoyed the others presence.
Wisteria jumped as she was once again startled. This time it was from someone slamming open the auditorium doors. She muttered something under her breath as she passed by Alastor, heading out onto the stage to see who entered the room. The moth was really tired of being scared by the hotel members.
"You need something, sugar?" She asked, wandering over to the edge of the stage. Angel Dust stood near the double doors, a beer bottle in one of his many hands.
"Charlie wanted to know if you're goin' ta be joinin' us for dinner." He took a drink from his bottle as he awaited the stars reply.
"I'll be there, sugar." Wisteria gave him a small wave as he nodded, then left the room.
