Rowan's pov
The darkness and pain consumed me. Gradually, I began to hear a voice, barely audible at first, but soon it became clearer. "Ma'am can you hear me?" a paramedic said while shining a flashlight around my eyes. I tried to open my eyes, but it felt like they were glued shut. "Ma'am?" he repeated, and I groaned in pain as I struggled to open my eyes. As my vision slowly came into focus, I saw some news reporters rushing towards me with their microphones, and their cameras flashing. "There she is! The missing girl!" one of them exclaimed excitedly.

I felt trapped and helpless, lying on the cold and hard concrete. "Please get me out of here," I muttered quietly to the man. The paramedic quickly got his equipment and started to examine me. However, the news reporters were relentless and continued to bombard me with questions. "Can you tell me what happened?!" one of them asked eagerly. I felt uncomfortable and overwhelmed. "I don't feel comfortable with that..." I said quietly, hoping they would respect my privacy.

Thankfully, the paramedic came to my rescue and shouted at the reporters to give me some space. He loaded me up into the ambulance, and I felt a sense of relief knowing that I was finally safe.

Ricky's pov
As I woke up, a sense of anxiety crept over me. I quickly turned to Chris and asked, "Where is the van?" He hesitated before replying, "We lost it... but the cops were called on them. She gave us a hint about what Leo planned on doing." My heart raced as I asked, "What was he planning on doing?" Chris looked nervous as he responded, "He was going to crash the car..."

My fear grew stronger as I realized the gravity of the situation. "We need to find them!" I shouted anxiously. However, Vinny, who had just put the babies to sleep, looked at me with anger. "I just got the babies to sleep, shut up!" he snapped.

Taking a few steps towards the crib, I gazed down at the little angels, their innocent eyes closed shut in a peaceful slumber. "Mommy will be home soon," I whispered, careful not to wake them up. A glimmer of hope shone in my voice as I continued, "We've come so far, and I know we're getting closer to bringing her back to us."

Chris' pov
As we were cruising down the highway, I spotted a cluster of cars ahead of us, and some police officers were directing traffic. I craned my neck to try and see what was causing the commotion, and that's when I noticed a thick plume of smoke wafting up into the sky. As we got closer, I saw that there were news reporters all around, clamoring to get a good shot of the scene.

My heart started racing as I whipped out my phone and searched for any information on what was going on. When the results finally came up, my worst fears were confirmed. A terrible car accident had occurred, with four fatalities and one person critically injured. The news report didn't say who was being loaded into the ambulance, but my mind couldn't help but worry about their condition. I can only hope that they make a full and speedy recovery.

As time passed, we reached the front only to halt once more. Spotting Leo's van, I exclaimed "NO!" Others rushed to me. "What's happening?" Ryan questioned. "Look ahead," I replied. They gasped at the scene. Ricky silently exited. "Rowan's safe, right?" Vinny inquired. "One survived, badly hurt. It might be her, she's stronger than we thought," I explained.

I looked around the room and noticed Ricky was not in sight "damn it, Ricky..." I said while getting up, I walked near the bunk areas and there he was hiding in his bunk. "Ricky..." I say and he stays silent. "We'll call some hospitals to see where she is," I say. "You said it yourself, only one is in the hospital..." Ricky said in a sad tone. "I'll check some news reports.." I said while leaving the room. I grabbed my phone and started to do some research. To my surprise, I was able to find it quickly one of the news reporters posted it all over the internet. "Missing women refused to tell us what happened. That's unbelievable!" She said while turning the camera towards the ambulance.  "She's okay!!" I shouted and everyone but Ricky came out to the living area.
