Jessica POV

It was the next day and we walked in to find that one of the S-class missions were missing. "What do you mean that one of the S-class requests are gone from the second floor?" Macao asked. "Any idea who took it?" Wakaba asked. "It's either someone very strong or very stupid," Laki replied. "What's going on?" I asked. "One of the jobs from the second floor is missing. We don't know who took it," Mira replied. "Oh no, who would do that?" I asked sitting down with Gray. "I don't know but who ever they are, they're in huge trouble if and when they get back," Gray replied. "What do you mean if?" I questioned, worried. "S-class quests are super dangerous jobs that are taken on by only a few select members of the guild, Erza being one of them," Gray explained. "Oh no, let's hope they're ok," I said listening to the conversation happening.

"I know, a little blue cat flew up here and took it," a blonde male said from the second floor. "It was happy?!" Mira questioned. "He must have taken it for Natsu and Lucy," one member said. "They got some nerve taking on an s-class quest," Alzack said. "I don't know if I'd call it nerve but it sure is stupid," Bisca continued. "Natsu took the quest, why does that not surprise me?" I said to Gray. "Me either, that dummy is always acting before he thinks," Gray said back. "Hey Gramps, a stunt like that would get you kicked out of the guild right? Not that it matters, there is no way those three make it back from an s-class quest," The blonde remarked. "Laxus, if you knew why didn't you do anything to stop them?" Mira asked angry. 'So that's Laxus?' I concluded. "Oh please, you really think this guy will listen? I highly doubt he thinks of anyone but himself" I mumbled, Gray looked at me. "Huh? You already figured him out? Didn't take you that long," he remarked, smiling. "It doesn't take much to read him, especially with that attitude of his," I said louder. "Huh? What are you talking about new girl?" Laxus questioned looking irritated. I rolled my eyes, "oh nothing, just how you're an arrogant person who doesn't know anything about sympathy for others," I stated standing up. "Why you!!" He said through gritted teeth.

"That's enough Jessica," Master said as I looked away from Laxus. I sat back down and crossed my arms. "That took guts, not many people can stand up to Laxus like that, especially new people," Gray said to me. He reached over the table and took my hand, "you really are strong willed," he concluded. I smiled at him and squeezed his hand. "Thanks Gray," I said, still smiling. "What request did they take anyway?" Macao asked. "It was lifting the curse on Galuna Island," Mira said, with a worried look. "What are they crazy," Wakaba said. "Galuna Island is a suicide mission," Alazac shouted. "Laxus, you have to got a bring them back, I don't care about your feelings toward Natsu, but you might be the only one here stung enough to bring him back," Master said. Gray's bangs cover his eyes, "sorry master but I'll have to disagree with you," he said and I stood with him. I placed my hand on his shoulder, "I think we could bring them back," I said. "Alright, get going you two, and bring those brats back here," Master said, getting more aggressive toward the end.

Gray POV

"Man I knew Natsu was reckless but this a whole new level of reckless," I said while we walked onto the train. "No joke, he's going to be lucky if we find them before they leave the port," Jessica stated as we sat down. She turned to look out the window and sighed. 'I can tell she's worried,' I thought. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it reassuringly, "hey they're going to be alright, we'll find them before they even get into any danger," I said to her with a small smile. She looked back at me, "I hope so. I mean it's only been a few weeks, but I feel as if you guys are my family," she said with a sad smile. My smile grew bigger, and the trained pulled out of the station.

We began talking again and she started talking about her life before she was a member of the guild. "My village was always full of life, and the people were so nice to me. Not many of them were magic users and they were grateful to me for healing them when they were hurt or sick," she explained with a smile. "Sounds like a blast," I said. "Maybe one day I could take you back there and you can meet some of the people who took care of me," she happily suggested. "I would love that, and maybe I could meet your parents," I said, she looked down, sadly. "Something wrong?" I asked. "Oh no, it's just my mom was killed protecting me and my brother from a dark guild when they came looking for my father," she said, I could tell she was holding back tears. "Oh I'm so sorry," I replied. "It's not your fault, you didn't know. Just goes to show that rigor wasn't the only one after my magic, they were after it before it was even mine," she said, sadly. I took both her hands in mine and looked into her eyes, "well your mother may not be here anymore, but I'm sure she is watching you, your father, and your brother from above. She's always with you, as long as you keep her memory alive," I said and she nodded smiling.

"Any way, when we decide to go to my village, you won't find my father, but you could meet my brother. My father lives somewhere else now, cause it is said that once you pass down the power of the dark morphix, then you have to separate from the person you gave it too," she said. "So you haven't seen your father since he passed the magic on to you?" I asked. "Yea, but my brother helped take care of me. I was given the magic when I was 10 years old and my brother was 13. My father moved away a year after that," she said. "Wait, your brother is older, then why no give the magic to him," I asked, confused. "My parents always said that I would get it because I had a powerful source of light within me, and that's why I would get the magic. My brother is the one that trained me, cause he trained one of the lost magics too, but I don't remember which one," she replied, I nodded. 'Oh that makes sense, they didn't want your brother to turn out like the other previous holders,' I concluded.

"Now let's get to the port and stop Natsu from doing something stupid again," she said and I chuckled.
