I went home after a whole day in spider society, The moment I walked into the apartment I saw everyone in the living room. Miles, Mrs Morales, My uncle, Lizandro, Lily and my dad.
"Where were you?"my dad crosses his arm. "Funny, I've asked you the same thing before"I crossed my arms back and rolled my eyes at him.
"Don't talk back young lady"
"Maybe pay your child support and be a good dad instead of being a deadbeat"
"Maria!"my uncle shouts in disbelief, while lizandro and miles have a slight smirk on their faces. Lily looks like she's about to burst into laughter any moment.Mrs Morales hits miles arm.
"Have some respect kid,You're just in your rebellious teen era. You'll be fixed" My dad's glares at me and Steps forward
"Is that a threat?"I scoff and step up. "It's a promise, kid" He places his hand on my shoulder.
"Don't " kid" me, don't even touch me asshole"I push his hand off and storm off to my room.

Miles POV
I was told by my mami that Maria was gone, Of course I rushed over to their apartment complex and we were all worried sick, Except her dad. He was on the phone the whole time. The moment she walked in I felt relief.
Now she's gone, Of course she's still here but not with me.
"I'll go talk to her" I get up from the couch and start walking over to the stairs before someone grabs my arm. "You better not try anything funny kid, I can tell what kind of boy you are." Maria's dad tells me, I pull my arm away.My mom is about to say something but I don't let her,"You don't know shit about me,And trust me I can take better care of Maria more than your bitch ass"I scoff and my mom just shakes her head, Everything here is stressing her out. Maria was gone for a whole day, and all that has been out is hate and bullshit words from this guy.
I start walking up the stairs, and I knock on Maria's door."Hey ma.. It's me"I wait for her to answer, I hear some rumbling,"One second!"I chuckle slightly, The door cracks open. Her brown eyes are poking out the door, The way her black hair falls over her is too hard to look away from. "Can I come in?" I smile.
"Yeah, of course" She moves out of the way to let me in, I step onto her room.I see how watery her eyes are and I slowly pull her into a hug. Her arms wrap around me right away and I kiss the top of her head. "I'm so tired of him.."She cries, "I used to try so hard to be a good daughter and I always thought I wasn't good enough, But it wasn't even me. It was him"
"Maria-" She lifts her head up to face me, I hate seeing her cry. It crushes me completely. "Listen, He is an bitch for not being a dad. You deserve everything, And in fact I'mma go make sure his ass leaves new York right now" I place my hand on her cheek, "Why do you care so much Miles..?"
"Because I love you"

Maria POV
My heart skips a beat.
He loves me
"You love.. Me?" I can feel the huge smile on my face,"More than anything Maria, You are everything to me. I never felt this way before and I know you're the one for me Maria"His voice is gentle and sweet, His eyes look so soft and his fingers crease my cheeks and he leans in slightly.
"Can I..?" He asks
"Yeah.. You can"
I lean in and so does he, Our lips connect and a rush of butterflies rush through my stomach, He holds me close and his hand is on my waist. My hand on his shoulder. His lips are soft and warm, the way our lips move perfectly together makes everything better, all that anger and frustration disappears when I'm with him.
I don't want to ever pull away from him.
"What are you two doing!?"
Fucking bitch
We immediately pull away, My dad is standing at the door. "Get away from Mt damn daughter-!" He pushes miles and Miles immediately pushes him back causing my dad to stumble onto the floor. "Stop calling her your daughter man! You never even raised her!"
Oh shit
I can hear everyone coming upstairs, "what's going on?"Lizandro ask,My dad then punches miles in the face.I immediately push my dad, forgetting the fact I have super strength. "You disrespectful bitch! Good thing your mother got shot before she had the chance to raise you"
I pause and I just start crying,
Miles immediately moves me away, Rio grabs me. "Miles!" Rio shouts before Miles immediately starts to beat up my dad, Maybe too much.
Shit why did I start this
Everything is always my fault
I don't know how long everything continue before I hear the sounds of sirens in the background, Fuck is miles going to get arrested? No.. Right? He'll be fine, he didn't even start the fight.
But since when did New York care about justice? That all went away, Everything in this world is fucked up.
