I woke up to the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore, the salty ocean breeze carrying a sense of freedom through the air.

As I opened my eyes, I saw the sun rising over the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange.

Next to me, Avery slept peacefully. I pushed back a streak of her hair behind her ear. She used to hate when I did that to her when we "were not in love"

It was just the two of us, lost in our little paradise with a mystery ahead of us. She woke up and said "Time to solve puzzles. I think we had enough romance at the beach, didn't we ? "

I smirked.
