I had fainted. I woke up in the morning with no clue about what had happened in the secret room.

I saw Jameson Shirtless (as usual ) already up. Just as I was getting up Jameson interrupted me.

"Not now, Heiress. You need to recover."

"But I'm fine Jameson," I said

"You never listen " Jameson complained

"Exactly. No point in arguing. " I said

I got dressed and went down for breakfast.

As we all settled down around the table, sharing stories and laughter, I found myself stealing glances at Jameson and the new girl who's name was Layla. I noticed how effortlessly Layla seemed to fit in with our group, how she shared inside jokes with Libby and Nash.My heart raced as I watched the Layla with us, her smile bright and her eyes sparkling with excitement.

I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy creeping in.

I couldn't shake off the feeling that this girl might somehow steal Jameson away, even though we were engaged.

I clenched her fists under the table, trying to push away the irrational thoughts creeping into my mind.

I knew Jameson loved me, but the fear of losing him lingered at the back of my thoughts like a haunting shadow.

The new girl with them had an easy smile and a captivating presence that immediately drew attention. As they all chatted and caught up, I couldn't help but notice the way Jameson's eyes seemed to linger on the newcomer, his laughter a little too animated when she spoke.

Jealousy crept into my heart, despite knowing deep down that Jameson and I were engaged and deeply in love. But seeing him interact with this ugh Layla, a sense of unease settled in the pit of my stomach.  As the night wore on, I was in my room scrolling on my phone.

I found myself unable to shake off the nagging feeling that something was off about her. I watched from my room as Jameson kindly showed her around, making sure she was comfortable. A pang of envy shot through my heart as I saw the way Jameson smiled at her, his eyes full of warmth and kindness.

Trying to push aside my insecurities, I forced myself to focus on the mystery at hand. But every time I caught a glimpse of Jameson and the Layla together exploring the house that night, a wave of doubt washed over me.
