Hayley stopped in front of the door that lead to the last memory that Titan had of being human More memories would come in time. However he had been cursed for 23 years. Most of the human memories were a blur or buried so deep that they'd be impossible to find on such a short schedule.

"Behind this door is the first night you were unleashed. Alex's curse was supposed to be triggered by an act of betrayal whether it be intentional or not. However Science and Magic are not supposed to mix." Hayley said.

The hybrid went on to explain that where he was being held was a lab underground the very place Alex used to work. Berkeley labs was built over a Malivore pit. If that was the case did that mean he was in California?

"Yes triad transported you from Virginia to California." Hayley answered. Before she continued to explain Titan's transformation was triggered by the Nanomeds and exposure to solar energy.

"I don't have much time left I'll explain more after this memory." Hayley said before opening the door in front of them.

Berkeley Labs 2003

Alex waited as Megan got ready to take his blood. He wanted to run some tests of his own. Megan didn't think that was unreasonable he had survived what most wouldn't.

"Sure you're okay?" Megan asked as she wrapped the tourniquet around his bicep to help her see the veins better.

"Yeah, just glad to be out of bed." Alex replied as she finished cleaning the anterior elbow with an alcohol wipe.

"I got a message from my father. He's coming to see me." The blond added as she prepared the to stick the needle in her friend. Alex looked at her in surprise her father was an army general and Megan and him weren't exactly close they didn't talk much.

"Your father? When?" He asked as Megan told him to make a fist. After finding the vein she stuck the needle in saying He landed in about an hour.

"The funny thing is, he called me." She added after a moment of silence. Alex smiled as he assured her everything would be fine Megan returned the smile as she removed the needle and put a bandage on her friend. Standing up she wished him luck and told him to call her if he needed any help.

It was two hours later that Alex sat in front of the computer running the tests on his blood. Ran every test you could imagine that involved blood samples. He tried too focus but he kept drifting back to what Clarke had said. "Everything your extraordinary mind... has been seeking all these years... it's been inside you." What did he mean by that?

From the test results on the screen Alex seemed normal he was so distracted he didn't notice the effects the Nanomeds were having Clarke's words, the failed tests, the accident, it was just so stressful. Visions of a man mad out of mud or clay flashed through his head. Alex began panting heavily and began massaging his temples. He heard the phone ring but was so stressed out that he couldn't answer it. After the beep he heard Megan's soothing voice despite the phone being right next to him her voice sounded so distant.

"Alex, hey. Are you there? Look, I think I screwed up. My father, it's like he suspects you of something." The woman said softly as Alex breathing became heavy, he felt like he was back in his dream with that door that held the gorilla behind it.

This time no one was opening the door. It was locked inside and it wanted out it was almost as if the gorilla was punching its way out as Megan continued. "I was so impatient, like always... I didn't hear him out." Her voice became fainter and fainter with each word. He was barely able to register what she was saying. Something about her father suspecting him of something, that they were planning something with the lab.
