Josie sat in the library reading the passage about magical creatures that she'd found in one of Hope's family books. She'd been doing her best to avoid her sister since Miss Mystic Fall. She was sleeping somewhere else so she wouldn't cave, In class she would sit as far away from her sister as possible, and sat with Rafael and the wolves at lunch.
It was maddening but she wanted Lizzie to come to her this time. Josie always forgave her sister without her apologizing. It was time Lizzie realized actions had consequences. She took a deep breath and refocused on the book. It was full of myths and legends. She'd just been skimming the pages when she saw something that caught her attention.
It is said that deep in lowland tropical rainforests of Central Africa, a strange ancient being lives. More legendary than the Immortals, more mysterious than a Sphinx. Its strength unbelievable, its power unstoppable, the reason for its existence.... Revenge.
It described Titan perfectly but something still confused Josie. If the curse was older then Silas how could it be connected to Malivore. It was impossible unless.... The accident.
'Oh no! the Malivore pit is under the building were the science experiment had gone wrong!' Josie thought as she closed the book and rushed off to find Hope.
While Josie had come to horrifying realization Rafael was doing his best to avoid Hope she hadn't done anything wrong but after everything that had happened he needed some space. The newest werewolf hadn't spoken much since his brother's death. He spent most of his time with Titan.
When he wasn't with the giant ape he was with Hope. The two had bonded over the loss. Hope had opened up to him about her parent's death and the hallow in attempt to comfort him.
The Tribrid had even showed him the very first painting she and her father had made together. It was the only thing that wasn't destroyed by the fire caused by Josie. It was nothing short of a miracle that it had survived the inferno. During all that time the two began developing feelings for each other. But neither of them had made a move. Rafael hadn't made a move for two reasons. The first was he thought that by asking Hope out he'd be betraying Landon in some way.
